I'm using my SGS 2 for almost 14 months now but I never listen, listen, listen, listen, listen to any songs through it's speaker.Always use headphone.
So I don't really mind how the loud speaker performs. As long as I can hear the ringtone I'm fine with it.
HTC got lazy after their 1st generation Android phone.Their desire line is just copy paste of their other products.Their One line is good but by then Samsung already gain too much influence over Android users.
S2 is still a great product.I'm running a modified version of Samsung stock Android 4.1.2 version & it perform as well as you can expect.
I do understand why Google gave LG the Nexus manufacturing chance.Optimus G contain some great hardware. But Google should considered or monitor LG's manufacturing capabilities & their QC.
It's not easy to fight with Samsung in term of manufacturing capabilities.Do you guys know that always all the parts for Nexus 10 produced by Samsung themselves? Not many company can do that.
ASUS is a very interesting OEM.A dark horse if you ask me.They make excellent Android tablet with almost stock Android and always deliver timely software update. They also make interesting product like Padphone which actually make sense since tablets & phone shares similar hardware which make it suitable to make phone + tablet hybrid.Hopefully Google will update Android with more feature to support Padfone like project.
But with S3 they got kinda lazy.Using the same plastic design while trying to do too much with the software. They need streamline their software if they want SGS IV to be successful.Brand name won't help for a long time. It's a painful lesson learned by Nokia.
Many people confused poly carbonate as plastic, poly carbonate are as expensive as glass and aluminium, just wonder what makes glass and aluminium so special and premiumSo I don't really mind how the loud speaker performs. As long as I can hear the ringtone I'm fine with it.
