some sample shots i took with N4, not rooted and w/o any changes to the camera/picture quality. the camera's actually not that bad as i thought it would be, as long as the environment's has a good light source, the photo's pretty brows.gif

1 question guys...is it ok if we peel off the IMEI number at the back of the phone? coz scree protector application gonna be screwed up with that on the back right? does it void the warranty?...thanks~
*
the guy from hotspot kept that piece of plastic in my box, he said just in case. but no it doesn't matter much if you'd peel it off thumbup.gif

Mmmm...so this means i can't transfer files to PC using usb cable without any special apps?

Also if u use usb cable to plug in into media players or TV to play video files from phone...very likely it will fail to detect?
*
yes you can, normally your pc would be able to detect your Nexus 4 via MTP. you still can copy and paste stuff like you once did via mass storage, just that MTP v. Mass Storage, MTP takes very very much longer for you to copy and paste files icon_rolleyes.gif

anyone has any idea why the Nexus 4 toolkit couldn't detect my device, both either on fastboot mode or ADB mode? same thing happened to one of my friend's Nexus 7.

which one are you using? if you are using the WUG version, click the 'full driver installation' under initial setup, and execute the steps. then do the step 3 under that option that says full driver test. that would make sure everything is good to go.
*
currently using the one from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1995688

thanks for the advise as well, will try and look up yours smile.gif

Did you select install fastboot n drivers in option 1
If you did try another USB port
*
yes i did, tried a few times on option 1, then used different usb ports. but all of these are done on my laptop. will report back once i've tried on my desktop. might be an issue about my laptop's usb drivers.

I did face this problem. Apparently there's 2 transfer protocol in 4.2. One is for the media and one is for transferring the camera files.

The ADB will only work in camera file transfer mode. My PC detects it as two different devices depending on which option i choose.
*
tried, it still didn't work. something to mention, under device manager, it still shows nexus 4 under Other devices, hence the drivers aren't still installed on my pc? i'm using windows 8 btw.

My aokp rom I can enable volume buttons to wakeup display. Now I use this as using nilkincase too
*
does it concern you that we can only wake up display using the power button (stock rom)? because previously i have a physical home button, but now the only thing left is the power button. kinda worried of the lifespan of the single button.

Honestly,not a single <insert f word here> given.
I've pushed my SGS 2 power button plenty of time & it still good. This type of "switch" do last long time.
*
for my case, i've been using my SGS 1 for about 2 years ++ and the power button starts to show some signs of 'failure' even way before the home button does, so well it's quite good. but for my sister's case the home button got way broken so quickly, she has a SGS2 as well. but i dont really think she does keep good care with her gadgets shakehead.gif
