QUOTE(haru88 @ Jan 16 2013, 07:42 AM) most of the times, these 'scene and fuss' is not like that crazy ones yang menjerit jerit. just voice your problem reasonably, what you have done to solve this, and tell that you don't have time to deal with this problem any longer because you are busy with work or family(making them feels empathic usually work great), all you want is just a good solution for this, (replacement ke, new unit ke, repair ke), not being dragged for more days. from my experience, reasoning out nicely like this went smoother than just blasting in. try it out! and best to do it at their big store or service centre, since they normally keep their stocks there. BTW, Digi speed is very bad so far, getting maximum 2 mbps in kl area, my Desire Z with umobile can get 7mbps. thinking of terminating at the end of the month. I am going to flash codefirex + motley b10 (the newer motley are not fully stable yet) This post has been edited by azrash: Jan 16 2013, 08:40 AM |

yes exactly, when i recommended BBS, i recommended on using it to track your battery usage and use the data to analyze what is consuming the battery.
it is a well detailed data, and you'll definitely find your culprit with it! my desire z went from 3%/h drain to 0.2%/h i have not done any optimization on my N4 yet (trying to patch OpenPdroid into the ROM first) |

i have mine installed by one of the folks at Hotspot, he took quite some time with it. I guess it is quite hard to install. but well worth it since it was a spotless job, no dusts or anything. hopefully can last more than one year plus!

QUOTE(sentlon @ Jan 16 2013, 12:21 PM) if your application is successful, they'll prompt you with a confirmation page and will prompt you to print the file. so save it as a PDF first.they said they will email you the confirmation as well, funny thing is, I applied on the first day it was opened and I have only received the confirmation email this morning. so if you get to the successful page, save it and print it out. is is good to go, used mine at Digi Times Square This post has been edited by azrash: Jan 16 2013, 12:25 PM |

hissing is a known issue that affects some of the phones. what i'd suggest it to try it with a different provider or location to test whether the issue persists, if it is still there, ask for a one to one exchange since it is a hardware problem

QUOTE(vincentxiang @ Jan 16 2013, 08:05 PM) they recommend using BSE wet application one for the front, much nicer as a display. SGP crystal is know for its durability, so they recommend that as back plate.QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Jan 16 2013, 09:16 PM) Aside from battery problem the rest is just minor QC issue which happens with other OEM. lol, true the toolkit was nice for a while, but i just coudn't stand not knowing what command it was doing. so i ended up using command line more! feels safer, and I can only blame myself if i screw up Forget about screwing up CM10.1.I'm using CM 10.1 + franco kernel now.Once I got decent casing I'll bring it out to see how it perform. Should have trusted more on my command line skill than stupid GUI.Wasting my time only fixing the bootloop. btw how is CM10 treating you? is the nightly stable enough? still contemplating on choosing a pure CM or JellyBeer. I am using codefirex, which is a good ROM, but i just miss all those extra bells and whistles from CM. maybe this weekend! QUOTE(lowyard @ Jan 17 2013, 12:22 AM) DiGi to me is just taik GiGi. exactly, I am not sure about their LTE upgrade though, if the LTE upgrade includes DC-HSPA+ then it should be fine! Can you imagine if people bought this phone with 24 months contract? A living hell I believe. Good way of killing the user softly. When i showed the speed to my father and told him it is 17 times faster than our streamyx 1mbps, and told him that max i got with digi in good full coverage is roughly 2-3 mbps he said this "why did LG Malaysia decide to deal with Digi? they should at least go with a better partner." he was impressed with Google Now, the photo sphere etc. he is using one of those Nokia torch light phone. he might even make the switch to N4 |

QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Jan 17 2013, 12:28 AM) So far ok.Advantage of being a Nexus device is almost all the hardware blobs are available or can be ripped from stock rom. That's why Nexus CM ROM have very few bugs.I'm still transferring some stuff to my Nexus so it'll be a while before I can give any comment. yeah i hear you. i am migrating from 2.3, MTP speed is just unbearable, thank god for airdroid/wifi explorer. might try sambadroid later if it is faster. thank god for TiBackup's zip file! one thing baffles me though, can't get Papago to work, have to resort to the last version of gmap with offline msia support. v6.8.1 i thinkI do miss AMOLED screen but it's time to move on... thanks will check back on your review nxt week or make the switch myself this weekend if i can't tahan. QUOTE(karwaidotnet @ Jan 17 2013, 12:42 AM) use the raw option, and do a full driver test before unlocking or rooting just in case. there is even a guide on how to unistall those drivers, it is all in the toolkit |

Guys, check out this link for the real pictures of the blue version of Poetic Bumper. looks very nice!
link here Blue Poetic Bumper case for N4 - via XDA now thinking of trying these other colours as well yellow ala bumblebee colour version here Yellow Bumper Case from Poetic - xda-developers best thing about poetic is their 3 years warranty! wonder if this would hold true for the ones that are bought at our local retail shops, like Hotspot etc, of course this will be more expensive than from joining the bulk import from amazon . -------- btw with cfx and motley b10, my battery drain is around .05%/h with all Google's function on like Google Now, Maps etc. will test a full day usage first, then fine tune with BBS. ---------- decoding the IMEI number with the link given in XDA gave me this » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « i can't recall properly but if I am not mistaken from what i have read in XDA, the date that is bolded is the shipped out of factory date and the date that is before that is the date that it was made. i am not trying to stir up some nasty game here but it just shows that the christmas launch was possible after all. thank god all is well now and yes, our unit should be hardware revision 11 (can check at bootloader ). QUOTE(shamsulaswad @ Jan 17 2013, 10:08 AM) I used to leave my phone charging overnight too. But after reading the paper done by battery university and with my previous experience with my previous phones, i try to charge before it goes lower than 40% and unplug before it reaches more than 80. I did this with my Desire Z and the battery life has not dropped a lot as compared to when i first bought it three years ago. Maybe one to two hours less battery life.I used to charge my bsttery until full with my G1 and the new fresh original battery went crazy after 6 months. So does the next original replacement battery. Just my two cents! |
