Hi to everyone  here ,

I am going to graduate this year with BEng in Telecommunications Engineering , do you think I have a chance to work in huawei? I dont have much experience and willing to learn but it will be abit tough for me since I am not good in writing and reading chinese words. Appreciate all the comments here. Have a nice day !

Hi, it is not a must to know mandarin in order to work for Huawei. They employs various nationalities and the company is moving towards internationalisation, one of the key areas for employees worldwide is to master english. But since many huawei employees are from china, knowing mandarin is good but NOT a must.

During the interview, potray urself as an eager learner and loyalty. Huawei apreciates staff loyalty.

Btw, I am not chinese educated too but working well for me smile.gif

Hope this helps.

I am not sure why they need HQ to interview via video conference but it is common, they just like to see your face perhaps. Good luck!

What my hope is. Can keep travel here and there for work. Some Huawei emp say they always need to flight here and there to work. This is what I like. At least can travel different place. Hehe.

This is what I hope too, unfortunately I can tell you, it is not what you think, do not listen to some funny people that went to 1 place or 2 and make a hoo haa out of it.

Trust me, I never lie.

It really depends on your position and department, and also the projects. Not everyone flies.

hi guyz, wanna ask few question.
Im a degree student taking science comp major in networking and will conduct my internship this september with Huawei located in KL Sentral for exactly 6 month (PS : my internship semester is my last semester)

The internship will focuses more on telecommunication field (the Huawei interviewer said i will be dealing with high end telecommunication devices for maxis), and i may only have little knowledge on telco field, still its not a problem for me, im willing and eager to learn.

The question is, (as my internship semester is my last semester), do i have any chances or possibility that i might be absorbed into Huawei once i finish my internship there? scared i might end up doing nothing once finished the internship.

TQ

Why are you asking this question in this thread? The interviewer and HR is not in this thread.

Besides, depends on your performance and everything / anything is possible. If you are good, I believe your superior will absorb you.

if u don't have much personal & family commitment, you can join Huawei as learning stage for experience only, because Huawei offering mostly contract job only... as contract job, they may kick you out anytime if they doesn't required your capabilities without any compensation...

Pre sales engineer recommended to get some experiences from practical technical field, otherwise it wont be easy to adsorb all the information is everything will be from the book only or thru the product training... it depend on your job scope required for on-site support such as site survey, site requirements, implementation plan...
