Obviously you dont know the difference and you are not the Core / Pillar Member of the team yet. Your boss is not bothering you because you are not that important yet. If you ever become the Linchpin then you know. Thats the difference, sorry to say Malay and Indian are 90% Outsource Employees and basically they just rely on Salary and Huawei just employ them for project purpose. In case you are not aware, outsourcing ARP is reducing and moving towards TASK OUTSOURCING rather than ARP employee. In other words, TASK OUTSOURCING is even worse situation.

When I say survival in Huawei, means you are tapping into becoming the Core / Pillar Members since you have the advantage of being a Chinese & Local employee and the reward is much much more than you can imagine. Core Members main source of income is not Salary. Had it, Been there, Done that. Good Luck and slowly explore and enjoy the adventure in Huawei.

Huawei got their own certification and it has been proven that in Huawei, PMP, CCIE etc is not really important. They simply do not appreciate those with professional certificates. They only need people to get the job done especially your superior that does not see the client, and they only want good news and not bad news. They wouldnt be able to help you with technical escalation.

If you have 6 Years of experience, max if they hire you as internal contract staff, it will only be for Hay Level 15/16.

Anyway, they are short of Datacom staff simply because people with experience just leave after 1-2 years and those with experience joined and could not last long due to culture difference.

I have experience in Telecom & IT company before, so I know those engineers that work on IT Field when they come over to Huawei, they could not stand the pressure as the work nature and expectation is different. If MRO is the one that approach you, chances is you will be thrown into some shitty projects that does not make money. Datacom & Fixed Network Transmission Services is not making money;)
