Hi all, I new guy here. Wanna ask some opinion..

I study communication and computer. Currently work in IT support company..not even 3 months...coz i feel so boring in support not much things to do and learn.. jz sitting there like so zhai

I got Hua wei call for interview for RF engineer. I done the interview but the HR guy said offer me another position VAS engineer, Now i need to go for VAS engineer interview.. I dont know why i didnt get RF engineer.

For VAS engineer interview, i dont know how high my percentage are...I really hope i can get tis job... coz i want work in telco field.. start fr i graduate..
*
yup.. according to your education background, they picked VAS for you because it involves in programming..

For RF, education background with EM wave, RF and Antenna theory, and also telecommunication standard such as GSM and WCDMA are much more needed.

Anyway, no harm trying RF even you are from computer background.. I have seen ppl still make it through smile.gif

To Sebrina,

It depends on what dept u r in. If you're in MRO (Malaysian region), you hardly travel overseas. But you still travel heavily within the country. 2-3 times each week if you are busy. In SP, yes. Global, yes. You travel depending in projects and I have friends from SP dept (South Pacific) based in Spore and US for months already.

Duration will depend on the project, until project finished or until your visa expired. Travel allowance depends on the country. If you travel to Indo, then yes, allowance can be lucrative, if to US where Msian ringgit is much lower, then well... cukup cukup la to survive, can't earn much..

But it also depends on your job scope. Some engineers don't travel as much, and some do. technical support travels a lot.

So there is 3 Entities in Huawei... MRO... SP and Global ???

huawei ( huarethey ? )

they have better low-cost product , and thus they able to give bonus 8 months to their employee ..damned

for instance , if Ericsson offer 1 million Euro for a project , but then Huawei crushed them with lower the price to 200K Euro for the project ... dont you see the different ?

But the dark side of the fishy offer , Huawei will charge them with nonsense price (like charging for hardware(including screws) , new change request, any related patch, ) ...

but with Ericsson or other European telco company , they will stick to the price and all those additional thing will be covered under that PO .

furthermore India recently lifted ban on those Chinese telecoms vendor (especially Huawei) as they are having poor security measurement on all of their equipment.

Hey Erein, thanks for the info. Are u a huawei staff?or in the telco industry?
I would like to be involved in projects now after 1.5 year working in support line. Based on my experience,is it possible they will send me for overseas projects?
Also, how's the overseas allowance like? All cost included? Meals, accomodation, air tick?
Does huawei pay well?

operators like DiGi and Maxis will love Huawei more as they are more low-cost vendor ...

core network operation, and PS core in DiGi and Maxis will goes to Huawei for longer period , due to their so-called cheaper price quotation.

again , congrats Huawei ...

I went for interview in Huawei, and I frequently visit one of the Huawei project-office. From what I observed, other than Malaysians, I only see people from China.
And if the interviewer is a China-man, he would really appreciate you if you can speak and write Mandarin.

Why Huawei by the way? tongue.gif

Wow. Whoever working in Huawei must be bloody rich then. We have not count the transportation allowance and the outstation allowance yet!

So it's true that telecommunication is a very good industry to earn big money. biggrin.gif

you know that guy also ? that is RNP guy. but he already left. lol.

it doesnt mean MRO cannot travel, once in a while, if not enough resources, SP/SEA/GSRC will still source MRO engineer for oversea assignment.
