hi folks, i had been called up by huawei for an interview (engineer).. just wondering how's the interview gonna be? got any sucky HR test / techical test ?

will try to update here after tomorrow, err i had no idea whut kind of test they gonna throw out and had no idea whut the position name ! the gal just told me the "the post for engineer"........ damn I'm still cracking my head for all possible question that the interviewer gonna throw in later

haha gud luck guys, my interview were conducted in mandarin ! and i phailed !! as for their technical test... all the best to guys from pure IT background, you gonna be grilled up nicely hahaha. I can assure that you guys know nuts bout it and i mean it

if you were applyin for technical post, forget stuff u mention above =) NONE IT related stuff would be thrown in on the paper. All telco stuff about 40~60 question. combination of subjective n multiple choice =)

having a Cisco cert is meaningless in Huawei, NONE Cisco stuff on their system period. Unless their cisco cert were stamped with "yah i mastered SS7,H248,h323, SIP,MTP, M3UA.sigtran and etc" then it's a diffrent story.

No new product to rival the big boys ? this is another big joke, HW packet core could easily pawn those so call big boy rival. the bold part is utterly bullshit, u try ask ericson to do a change on their damn msc side and see for yourself what's the heavenly figure they gonna charge you.

1) who said no OT claims ? ask your senior to teach you how to apply the allowance via the damn ipay system.
2) no people ask you to work on weekend unless there a major operation few days before and that's only remote standby where you still could tfk at home and you could apply replacement leave for it. did you even know that ?
3) you should screw your own dpt boss for this.
4) if there's no workload then you are redundant, you should look for GLC company n work.
5) i agree and disagree on this, some system were pain in the ass to use, but one you get use to it.. then it's nothing.
6) unreasonable procedure ? from mgt or customer state your point.
7) no people gonna give a damn to call you if you didn't mess up with your shitty work quality. that's a FACT, or you didn't handover your stuff to the related person.
8) you'll get a big bite of it if you perform well and it's based on your competency level ! not those so call "sales talk" where you only know how bullshit,complain and crap talk.
9) this is a company where I practically see no politics at all.

different region or country different culture, salary,benefits and etc which you mentioned. probably this wont help much.

9-6 for non engineering department like those b****ing finance /accountant as above.

for core engineering unofficial working hours 16- 24 hour per day. usually 3-4 time a week, getting sleep lesser then 10 hour daily. Requires to work on Saturday and Sunday.
