The following shall NOT be considered as retail transactions:

a. Annual fee
b. Late Payment Fee
c. Finance Charge
d. Cash Advance
e. Any handling fee
f. 0% Card Easy Payment and the installment paid
g. Flexi Payment Plan and the installment paid
h. Petrol transactions
i. Balance Transfer transactions

seem like almost all normal expenses are counted as retail transaction except petrol.

i think i will apply this watami card and use it for my Prudential insurance and Hong leong Auurance auto debit payment to get 3% rebate..

anothe question, can I pay my sister's insurance with my watami card to hit the min Rm3000 per qtr?

To pay for your sister's insurance, it doesn't depend on the CC but the Insurance Company.

Just realize that petrol is not considered as retail transaction. This means there will be no 3% for petrol, but will it contribute to the required minimum RM3000 accumulation over 3 months?

the question is why do you want to use aeon watami just to contribute to the required rm3k accumulation?
because there are so many other cc with petrol rebate. laugh.gif

also, if you mean you are short of certain amount in the last month of your quarter to attain to rm3k, petrol's contribution is still very small, don't you think so? smile.gif

perhaps you go shopping or dining would help you to reach faster. biggrin.gif

Wise move!
I have been paying insurances using this card since it was launched. Attaining 3K for insurance is not very difficult.

What it means by "3% quarterly cash rebate...accumulate spend of
RM3,000 per quarter"? Is it if I spend less than RM3k quarterly, then I'm not entitled to get the 3% cash rebate?

interested in this card since OCBC went down the drain ... roughly went through all the pages and left with 1 question:

1) Someone ask if TNB/Telekom is inside the 3% cash back and some guys answer yes ... but some also say the online portal only support SYABAS ? So how you guys pay the TNB/Telekom bills with the credit card?

Yes, to trigger the additional 3% Cash Back (capped at RM150 per quarter), you must spend min accumulated of RM3K every quarter. Not necessarily RM1,000 per mth but as long as every quarter is at least RM3K, u get the 3% on top of the normal Reward Points.

But remember, the cash back is capped at RM150 per quarter or RM5,000 accumulated spending.

For TNB / Telekom. go to their Office and fill up form for Auto Debit. As long as its a CC, the Auto Debit should go through and form part of the RM3K spending every quarter

we all know about this...
but the question is whether it contribute to the required minimum RM3000 accumulation over 3 months?
for example, if you spent only rm2950 in a quarter, but on top of that, you also spent rm50 for petrol. so is the rm2950 (spent on others excluding the rm50 petrol) qualified for the 3% or not qualified? that's the question. nod.gif

IMHO, petrol will be excluded from Retail spending that makes up the min RM3K accumulated spending. Refer to this link

besides, my answer to the person who asked the question (as below) was that it's not worth to do that (even if it really counts). laugh.gif
