For example, Principal Card approved on 15/11/12.

1st quarter = 15-11-12 until 14-02-13 (3 months).
2nd quarter = 15-02-12 until 14-05-13 (3 months).
3rd quarter = 15-05-13 until 14-08-13 (3 months).
4th quarter = 15-08-13 until 14-11-13 (3 months).

So, your Card Dated 17 Dec 2013 (same as mine) was approved today after 2-days is not too bad. No idea how long it would take the Card to be couriered to Sarawak, probably a week or so from today. Lets hope u get is before Christmas or latest by the New Year.


There is no 'GST Waiver' for the AEON Watami CC. No special current promotion. This card is good for the first RM1,666 spending a month of RM5,000 per quatrer where u get 3% CB (Min spending is RM3K per quarter to qualify)

Called them but CS don't know the actual answer. She said will revert to me before 4pm. I still waiting.

if your insurance is 3k a year then you can use it for the first month then just leave it

I saw this promotion too.. luckily I shop at aeon jusco..I see all the promotions are applicable only at aeon jusco..hmmm..lucikly last time I applied for new aeon credit card hahaha..

this is my timeline so far:

7 Dec: applied Aeon Watami in sunway pyramid
10 Dec: application sent to HQ
16 Dec: call for verification
18 Dec: called in the morning....still under processing
19 Dec: called in the morning....card approved. Called CS to reconfirm, CS said card approved on 13 Dec...not sure how true is this...

You can use the self menu to check on the application status too.

Yah I called the phone system to get the status. I called cs again to find out on when the card will arrive but they said not in system

how do you request from them? is it by calling to CS for request or you walk-in and fill up the form??

When I contacted CS, i was informed that it is not possible as min trigger amount is RM500. So I sent an email to BNM as an inquiry. A personnel from Aeon then contacted me and said it is actually possible. Received the SMS within minutes after the phone call. I believe it will be easier for you guys to make the request now as it is still fresh.

i think that rm20 cashback is different promo.. since it is only for those receiving the sms.. as usual, AEON is slow on everything and updating the website might be one of it.. since last sunday of this month will be on 28th, maybe need to wait sometime for AEON to update the T&C..

Yup cause it state that double point and 5% rebate is applicable for new aeon cc only.. so you have to apply the jusco credit card which I think now they call as NEW AEON cc..
