I believe it's a WP limitation and not Nokia's though ... read the video review herehttp://allaboutwindowsphone.com/reviews/it...t_2b-video_.php |

A good read on how modern batteries behave. I need to recalibrate my understanding of the Lithium-ion and Lithium-Poly batteries. Apparently the DO NOT LIKE to be fully discharged! and the LOVE being top up all the time (even a little top up here and there)
http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/it...teries_work.php So start charging those Lumias!, Now definitely need to get that DT-910 Wireless Stand thigamajic for the office. |

QUOTE(fantasy1989 @ Jan 13 2013, 10:24 AM) if u using wireless router(A) ..u need to have separated modem ...if u using wireless modem router(B) ...u no need to have modem ..because A doesnt have function to dail up/connect internet ..it's only create a VLAN to multiply your connection from 1 to many ethernet port and create wifi hotspot Oh ty^^ But then wireless modem router I need to get from my fixed line telco to switch my internet pln to wireless plan right?while B is all in 1 function ..just switch your device ON ...then it will automatic do everything (with proper configuration) If I use wireless router, L920 supports that? I mean searching hotspot (After setting up the wireless router, am I able to browse using Lumia 920)? Cuz I remembered reading something that Lumia 920 doesn't support hotspot search.... Wondered if it was overcharging, no idea. The batteries now are a lot better.http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/it...teries_work.php So start charging those Lumias!, Now definitely need to get that DT-910 Wireless Stand thigamajic for the office. |

QUOTE(DavidWKW @ Jan 13 2013, 12:16 AM) Thank you. I guess the difference between wireless router and wireless modem router depends on the modem I'm using at home right? If I'm using fixed line modem, I will need a wireless router instead of a wireless modem router right? Nope Think it this wayAny recommendation on good wireless router? Thank you so much! If you are on streamyx With streamyx modem What you need to share internet connection Wireless Router - only handles router What you can do ? Option 1 Let the router manage the modem dialer for you set the modem to bridge mode Option 2 Set the modem to router mode then the modem will manage the dialer for you. Option 3 Get a wireless modem router this device handles everything for you PROS of the above setup Either one failed either modem or router you can immediately replace one than all. You are able to access both setting control using their IP address CONS Too many devices and will consume more power. If you are talking about 3G Broadband Router Usually handle both wireless and modem This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Jan 13 2013, 07:57 PM |

With Option 2, does it mean I can straight away do it on my existing modem without buying a router? The easiest for you now is to get a wireless modem router. Setting option 1 is easy for me but for you its alittle challenging.Do you need more info? LolXD have no idea which info is needed >< Ty^^ |

QUOTE(DavidWKW @ Jan 13 2013, 08:43 PM) Haha yaya I think so... Ty^^ But buying wireless modem router, does it mean to change my internet plan? of course NOTIf you remember properly when the guy come to install your maxis fixed line they will give you a slip with user and password. This information is required when setting up your router. Most latest router today have auto mode it ask you to type a few things the rest it setup for you from my experience like belkin. If you do not have username and password call maxis tell them your modem spoil you bought a new one request for the username and password. |
