OFFICAL PRICE IN MALAYSIA ANNOUNCED - RM1999

Nokia has just announced the Lumia 920, its first and flagship Windows Phone 8 smartphone. The Lumia 920 comes with a PureView camera, a 4.5-inch display called Nokia PureMotion HD+. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. As leaked earlier, the Lumia 920 also supports wireless charging.

Nokia is talking about low-light photography with the new PureView camera and promises no blur in photographs shot in low-light without flash by capturing five to ten times more camera by using a floating lens technology. The floating lens also helps while shooting video by stabilizing motion blur while shooting videos.

The Lumia 920 will obviously come with Nokia Maps, Drive and Transport. Nokia is also talking about City Lens, an augmented reality app. The augmented reality aspect will also work on Nokia Maps.

The PureMotion HD+ display promises blur free scrolling with higher refresh rates. The 4.5-inch curved glass display is also being touted as the best display with an advanced Clear Black display.

The Lumia 920 comes with a 2,000 mAh battery, which is the biggest battery Nokia has ever used on a smartphone. It comes with a “Fatboy Pillow” wireless charger, which is based on the Qi industrial standard.

Videos i think worth watching on the Lumia 920

Indeed correct signal quality is one of the factor that effect battery life. So combination of how the phone manage the battery + signal = bad battery life.

Like my case on note 2 on maxis 3G the battery life is even battery than 2.5G

Lumia with the same maxis i still get very bad battery life.

yes you'll love it very much, it's one of a kind experience like no other people can have, be proud and amazed people around you but as months pass you'll start to think your phone can do better and you decided to collect all the best apps available on the market then months past you'll start to think, "alright what's next?"  yawn.gif

If you twist it around after you are bored of all windows phone feature what's next? Guess what's next limited apps.

Just imagine you hang out with friends or clients or etc they be talking of apps they like dude go download this app can do something very special your other friends be like downloading it you be there like opps my phone do not have this apps. They been playing the app laughing you like peeking at what they play because your phone lack of apps.

Apps Eco system it keeps going on and on non stop because they gets update frequently while your windows phone OS get updated 6months to 1 year.

Windows phone need to catch up if they want stay in the game

Yeah i wont have that feeling because i have all 3 OSes in hand.

It's either iPhone and Samsung or iOS or Android.
Can't blame them due to the number of apps they got.
It have good content so of course people are leaning that way.
I've owned an Android and iOS and what I can say about WP8 is that it lacks too many apps.
I'm missing those awesome games and how I wish Windows store has more content.
For now the developers are considering and hopefully in 1 or 2 years, Microsoft will be able to have more apps to offer as sales go up.

In social integration still cant win windows phone till today

Honestly u need give sammy some credit they really put alot effort into the note 2

Complaing battery sux = give u 3100mah at H+ battery can last a day without issue
complain lag = jelly bean fixed that no lag
Real time multitasking = Windows phone tak ada
comes with s-pen = with hand writing recognition to write notes or draw notes and even crop object from images

I am sharing this not for ppl to show off but for ppl to see and weight the difference.

Windows phone is not only lack of apps but lacking lots of features with tons of limitation.

Thank you. I guess the difference between wireless router and wireless modem router depends on the modem I'm using at home right? If I'm using fixed line modem, I will need a wireless router instead of a wireless modem router right?

Any recommendation on good wireless router?

Thank you so much!
*
Nope Think it this way

If you are on streamyx
With streamyx modem

What you need to share internet connection
Wireless Router - only handles router

What you can do ?

Option 1

Let the router manage the modem dialer for you set the modem to bridge mode

Option 2

Set the modem to router mode then the modem will manage the dialer for you.

Option 3
Get a wireless modem router this device handles everything for you

PROS of the above setup
Either one failed either modem or router you can immediately replace one than all. You are able to access both setting control using their IP address

CONS
Too many devices and will consume more power.

If you are talking about 3G Broadband Router
Usually handle both wireless and modem

Thank you! But I have no idea how to carry out Option 1 and Option 2. With Option 2, does it mean I can straight away do it on my existing modem without buying a router?

I think I will need to spend money and ask those telco people to set up for me >< Ty^^

i can only help you after you explain to me your current setup and provider

I don't have any wireless router at the moment. I am using Maxis fixed line 512, modem ZyXEL p-600 series connected using Ethernet.

Do you need more info? LolXD have no idea which info is needed >< Ty^^
*
The easiest for you now is to get a wireless modem router. Setting option 1 is easy for me but for you its alittle challenging.
