Can you explain the difference between the old bump feature and what we have now? For example, what would you have seen in that screenshot, instead of what are seeing now?

Hi wkKay,

In the old trade zone system. We have the remark (Bumped) beside the date. And when a seller bump his thread , the latest date and time of his bump is reflected at listing.

In this way, buyer can tell that the seller product is still on sale.

Our new system now, base on the screenshot i provide, few of the thread, actually already sold. And worst, the thread is dated 3 months back.

In my opinion, we should have a features to show all the latest bump thread.

When a thread is bump, buyer know the product is on sale.

Now all we see is latest reply of interested parties.

Perhaps in the last action column

The first post is clear that you now can reply your customers:

Spamming is when you make a post for no reason, such as posting 'come quickk', 'saleesss', 'cheap cheap' multiple times.

Okay. Got it. smile.gif

Btw, for 'recently viewed me' ,the name of the username can be seen now?

+1 . Totally agree

To cut it short. With reference to the old system just modify the part ts replies can't bump his thread

Easy change and I think most will be happy (except those using reply to bump their thread)

RedDevil32 brotan dhui From a buyer's point of view - what do you think if I remove "last post by (third party)" altogether? So if you open garage sales, you will see only the time of last activity by a seller (whether it is a reply or bump).

i personally has no objection but don't know others. others may need replies from REAL buyers to "bump" their thread. but this also solve the dupe fake bump.

i know some seller offer special price if reply on the thread

in short, got pro and con, depending who is looking at it tongue.gif

wKkay That will be very great.

As a buyer, we dont really care other potential buyer reply. I attached a screen of my frustration. One of the thread, the owner sell the macbook to me. But he never close it. Other interested buyer keep posting on the thread, and today, the same thread is still at page 1. sad.gif

In garage sale, i believe we should sort the thread by this sequence.

Order by New Thread Date , Last Bump Date.

Not by Last post on the thread because its different from other subforum.

Take Mudah.my and Lelong.com for an instance. As a buyer, everytime i login to those website, i know the front page are the list of newest post. Definitely most of the item in page 1/2 are available for sale.

However our garage sale now.. 50% of the thread are actually old thread that never close .

Ok. Besides making the cosmetic changes, we need to ensure threads stay fresh. Some things I have in mind are monthly reminders to thread starters to bump their threads, auto-closing threads after N months of inactivity, and purging them after further inactivity. This is out of this topic's scope but I'll be sure to start a new feedback topic about that once we're done refining this bump feature.

yaya. sold item thread was still thr without closing it.
and TS could not bump their own thread by using their own comment / reply on the thread.
this really frustrated.

best is, inactivity thread more than 2 months will be given a warning regarding inactivity, after that forced close will be given.
i know the script for this will be very painful n complicated, this is just my opinion.

hopefully this could help. =)

is it possible if the BUMP button just refresh the list "at the same page" instead of what its doing now?
I have to either press the "back" button to continue bumping other threads, or "rightclick open in new tab".

Just wondering, bumping function now no longer list into active threads?

Previously it was if the sales thread have alot of views, bumping it will automatically list it into active threads. Because I buy alot of stuff from garage sales, i rather allocate my time for things that other ppl buy as well^^

RedDevil32 brotan Just made some changes. The last seller update is shown now - this includes bumps, replies, and edits. I won't be removing the last post column right now. Let's see how the feedback from our members goes before making any further changes smile.gif
