RedDevil32 brotan dhui From a buyer's point of view - what do you think if I remove "last post by (third party)" altogether? So if you open garage sales, you will see only the time of last activity by a seller (whether it is a reply or bump).

Hi Admin,

I think there is something not right in the Last Bump vs Last Post sort in the Search Result list page.

From the screenshot, taken today at 12/01/2013 3:38PM, where I just bump one of my thread minutes ago.

user posted image

Notice that the sorting in search result was sort based on Last Post date, not the Last Bump date as previously.

Thus, even if I just bump my thread, my thread will be lost in search result if my last post is weeks ago. BUMP feature suppose to prevent people making new post everyday,
but if using the BUMP didn't have the same result as making new post, I think people will start posting new post everyday again.

Please kindly look into this issue smile.gif

Bro

I tested. Imo you did a great job there.

I can see the bump works and the last bump time stamp is posted

And the last post time stamp also there

At least if both time stamp there should be ok

No complaints from me anymore. Lol

Is it possible if we request features to filter off thread that never being bump or reply from TS ? I still see few thread at the top 3 pages because some user brought up the old thread.

Just noticed a bug, but not sure if it does happen before the changes recently or after.

Tested on Chrome / Firefox, loading without cache, but not sure if it's just me or not.

Say, if we want to show posts by a certain member in a topic, we'll use this [Link]

e.g.
CODE
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2664525?author=polarzbearz

But if the user's name comes with pipe character |, like [This], no results will be returned.

e.g.
CODE
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2664525?author=Neo|ofGeo

Just for referencing purpose, he certainly did made at least one post in the topic [Here]

Hi, would like to give my feedback on the latest changes.

As quoted from ciohbu above, i prefer the old view of showing the time format in [Date][Month][Year], [Hour][Min], eg: 1st January 2013 - 04:11PM or Today, 11.11AM

Since i update the thread regularly, i would like to know what are the new/latest threads since the last time i refreshed my page. I didn't closed the LYN page everytime i refresh. Example the last time i check threads is at Today, 11:11AM. So later like now 7.46PM, i can check any threads that are bump/post from 11AM - 7PM range

The new bump feature is quite confusing too. Like last time, any new bump/post is consider latest/active threads. Now if i sort by Last Post, some bumps are months ago yet the post is new. And those thread which bump recently, i can't see it with sort by Last Post.

Are you sure?

I have tested and checked

It always sort by either last post not by ts or bump, whichever is newest

I think the issue is wkkay enable this feature for me and another forumer only for us to evaluate if it is ok

So the rest still have the old system
