I buy alot of item from garage sale daily..

And this new bump feature giving me problem to determine if the seller is still looking for buyer for his item .

Some buyer already sold their item, and they didnt close the thread. I cant differentiate them with genuine seller who Bump their thread.

With the old system, when we saw a Bump by the seller, we know the seller is genuine and he is looking for buyer .

Now, its totally screw up.

To the developer of Lowyat.net : Please dont fix what is not broken. vmad.gif

For example : Look at the screen shot below. All the last post is today, but when i go in to check, those thread was dated 3 months+ old and sold.

Can you explain the difference between the old bump feature and what we have now? For example, what would you have seen in that screenshot, instead of what are seeing now?

Hi wkKay,

In the old trade zone system. We have the remark (Bumped) beside the date. And when a seller bump his thread , the latest date and time of his bump is reflected at listing.

In this way, buyer can tell that the seller product is still on sale.

Our new system now, base on the screenshot i provide, few of the thread, actually already sold. And worst, the thread is dated 3 months back.

In my opinion, we should have a features to show all the latest bump thread.

When a thread is bump, buyer know the product is on sale.

Now all we see is latest reply of interested parties.

Perhaps in the last action column

RedDevil32 brotan dhui From a buyer's point of view - what do you think if I remove "last post by (third party)" altogether? So if you open garage sales, you will see only the time of last activity by a seller (whether it is a reply or bump).

wKkay That will be very great.

As a buyer, we dont really care other potential buyer reply. I attached a screen of my frustration. One of the thread, the owner sell the macbook to me. But he never close it. Other interested buyer keep posting on the thread, and today, the same thread is still at page 1. sad.gif

In garage sale, i believe we should sort the thread by this sequence.

Order by New Thread Date , Last Bump Date.

Not by Last post on the thread because its different from other subforum.

Take Mudah.my and Lelong.com for an instance. As a buyer, everytime i login to those website, i know the front page are the list of newest post. Definitely most of the item in page 1/2 are available for sale.

However our garage sale now.. 50% of the thread are actually old thread that never close .

RedDevil32 brotan Just made some changes. The last seller update is shown now - this includes bumps, replies, and edits. I won't be removing the last post column right now. Let's see how the feedback from our members goes before making any further changes smile.gif

wKkaY Thanks smile.gif But can you apply the last update into search function too?

Is it possible if we request features to filter off thread that never being bump or reply from TS ? I still see few thread at the top 3 pages because some user brought up the old thread.
