Hi, I bought a RT-AX53U and amhaving trouble connecting this to maxis fibre. I selected PPPoE, ticked on Special Requirement from ISP and selected maxis fibre. Then key in account ID and password but still shows Internet disconnected. Any advice?

Coverage
- If the bandwidth is not your main concern then any supported models will do. What need to take into consideration is that lower end models may not have good coverage compare to higher end models.

Coverage + Performance
- Because the XT8 that you have now is tri-band router, so I would suggest you to get another tri-band router for best performance. The 5GHz(WiFi backhaul) at least having the same WiFi speed(this same for dual-band models). A tri-band router is best, because it is able to dedicate a band for backhaul connections, ensuring a stable connection and performance.

Anybody has suggestion for extension cord for Asus Zenwifi XT8's power adapter ?

Plan to mount the router near the ceiling but the cord from the power adapter is not long enough, and don't want to use power socket extension if possible.

RT-AC86U is known to be plagued with tons of hardware issues
RMA your RT-AC86U then once you got a replacement unit, sell it immediately & get the RT-AX86U

After warranty finish then it just died.
