Are u using this router?
Nope. I'm using RT-N16 & RT-AC68U.
QUOTE(romeo57 @ Feb 14 2014, 09:01 PM)
Does this support unifi?
Not sure about RT-N15U.
But all firmwares for my RT-N16 & RT-AC68U available in ASUS website has native support for UniFi.

Maybe ASUSmy can answer your question.

Maybe can use but Hypp TV won't work. I forgot.
I tried update before using the official FW, end up not working.

Yes.
Both RT-N16 & RT-AC68U has that option.

HyppTV works perfectly without any issues.

Hello Asus Support,

I am hoping to build and incorporate a limited-Internet-Speed VLAN (somewhat 'Guest') into my Home Network. I believe Asus able to provide a Feature-Rich QoSand Cost-Effective Solution for my Home Network requirement.

Would you mind to assist by reading my dilemma at my Lowyat Forum Topic?

Hi jackieng,

Try do a factory reset on the EA-N66, after that fix a channel at the router under Wireless section Control Channel.

And make sure when you connecting between the 2 device, the signal are at least 2 bars and above.

Do try update the RT-N66U also to the latest firmware.

Hi ASUSmy

Using : asus rt ac68u (bought yesterday)
Problem: after sometime, the router suddenly off itself, at first thought that it was adapter/power plug problem, but whenever I disconnected the adapter from the router and switch on the adapter only, the adapter's blue light went on. However when try to connect it to the router, suddenly the adapter's light went off and there was no power supplied to the router.

Is it a hardware problem? Can exchange for a new one at the store?

Thanks

hi ASUSmy

I have just installed astro IPTV at a 3 storey home and it is currently placed at the 3rd floor. wireless speed from the supplied thomson router is only good at the 3rd floor, speed drops to half (4-5 mbps) at 2nd floor, and only 1mbps at the 1st floor.

what setup do you recommend me to go with? is Astro IPTV supported by default in Asus routers ala unifi?

thinking of either replacing the thomson router with one of the better asus routers, or other options like using AP for the other two floors.

Hi zad78,

From what you have explained, it seen like hardware problem. Do send back to the place you bought for warranty claim.

Thanks,

I managed to pin point the problem. It was actually the adapter which was somehow very sensitive in its power tripping function. Changed to another adapter at the store and no problm so far.

Hi Asusmy,

Can you advise on following:

If I were live in Condo and now using RT-N66U, for the wireless setting on "transmit power", default setting is 80... What does this setting all about? Is that the broadcast distance?

If I were set to 40 because just want to cover it mainly in my living hall. Is that ok?

Please advise.

Thanks.

Hi audiocool,

You can try to do that, if you are trying to prevent the other people from access your network, you can try Wireless MAC Filter or Hide your SSID.

Thank you
