I have the dsl N12U b1. And have been trying to set up my HP P1102 laser printer to the router's print server. I have no luck searching for how to add the printer to my computer other then adding it as tcp/ip with the router's ip address as the printer host. Please advise... this thing is not as plug and play as it is supposed to be. The router recognised the printer... but it is not possible to properly add it to my pc's printer port ect....

Hi skywardsword,

There is a CD inside the box where you can use the utilities to do the connection between the router and the printer.

Here you can have a look of the printer support list from the below link.
http://event.asus.com/2009/networks/printe...rt/dsl_n12u.htm

You can download the utilities from our website also if you lost the CD.
http://www.asus.com/Networking/DSLN12U_B1/#support

Thank you

The instruction on CD and manual and even online I tried already... it does not provide details on how to add the printer in Window's operating system*specifically windows 7. Please check with your tech support.

Hi skywardsword,

If you referring on how to install the printer driver to the window 7, you have to refer back to HP support.

As our utilities will do the pairing if you have your printer driver installed in the window 7.

Thank you

Hi,

I'm using ASUS RT N12. Is it possible for me to enable all 4 normal lan ports for Maxis 30Mbps connection?

Because currently it seems that port 3 is being reserved for VOIP, in which i don't need because connection is done through BTU.

Hi ytkwong,

Sorry this model doesn't allow manual assign VLAN ID. But can I ask, are you able to use the phone without connected to the router RT-N12 LAN port 3?

Thank you

Yeap... assigned my voip to the btu straight, btu connects to maxis sip... so bypass Thompson all together.

Just wondering in the router iptv setting shows the max is fibre voip port 3, does it mean anything? Is port 3 reserved, so I can't use the port at all?

I bought my Asus RT-N12HP router last month and im having problems with connecting to the wireless sometimes.
I get error msgs like "connection timeout" "unable to join network" and i always have to manually connect on my iPhone or mac. If im not using the comp my wifi will be disconnected. Its damn irritating.
I've already upgraded to the newest firmware supplied by Asus on the website. But still having the same problem. Please help me out here. TQ

Hi, is there any way that I can block a certain website/url/program from being access thru the internet for a specific time i.e : 8am till 6pm on the Asus RT-N12HP router?
The only option i saw was to block the url throughout the day.

Hi lalilulelo,

Nope we unable to do so, it is either you block the URL or do not allow Internet access within the fixed time using the parental control.

And the URL must be http:// and not https://.

Thank you
