no degree in aircreft maintenance in m'sia but aeronautical got laaa
as far as i know only tafe college and MIAT offer diploma program in aviation

aviation degree program can only be taken oversea currently uni like kingston ..glemogan offering that but those offer are for aviation maintenance ...these are totally difference than aeronautics which i think is more general rather than aircraft maintenance which is more technical

guys..i would like to ask...if i have a diploma in mech engineering..how can i advance to bcome an aircraft maintenance engineer if i work for an aircraft maintenance firm? Does the training provided allows me to get the licence? What about heli companies like eurocopter? Would be grateful if any1 can giv me some info on this

u can be an aircraft maintenance engineer by attending apropriate training + working experience with life aircraft then u sit for LWTR. nowday requirement on AN (airworthiness notices) required 4 years training with approve training by DCA.
everybody can be an aircraft maintenance engineer evethough an aircraft cleaner but must meet the riquirement and competence.

thanx mr_ashraf for the info...by the way any aircraft maintenance companies provide "appropriate training" other than airline company like MAS?
