Why waste the 20-day free interest period from CC ? You could earn 20-day interest from CASA which gives monthly interest (daily calculated)

Once again, for those of you who uses Maybank2U to pay your Maybank credit card bills, utilities bills, Local Council Assessments/Taxes and etc, you should look into getting the Maybank2U Savers Account (if you have not) because it earns you interest daily and credited into the account monthly. say you spend 10k a month on the CC, by placing that amount in MSA for 20 days it will only earn you around RM12.
if you can afford to spend 10k a month, what is RM12 to be honest?

Yes, as long as you provide income documents

Our general advice here is NEVER withdraw ATM money using CC. I dont even know what is the charge, but i know it is expensive.

We won't know when Maybank will want to increase the points required for redemption (if any).

Maybe for rich guy will take RM12 as nothing. But for us, that's quite a lot. I only earn around RM2.00 ++ which enable me to do interbank transfer for 2 times free.

Well, it's personal preference anyway.

Bro, since you don't like owing the bank money (do you have any car loan or housing loan?), then you should not wait until your Statement Date to make payment and enjoy up to 30 days interest free credit but instead deposit the money into the account before you use the card or pay immediately upon swiping tongue.gif

And with up to 30 interest free and additional 20 days after statement date, your RM10K spending to earn the RM12 deposited into a interest bearing account may ballooned up to RM25 or more and take care of your concern of GST RM25 for each supp which works out to be about RM2 per month/card laugh.gif

RM12 is enough to get me a FREE pack Marlboro Lights and a FREE lighter too biggrin.gif

Bro,

About the Maybank2u Saver Account, is it the one park under 'Maybank One Account Conversion'?

I try to go in, but the note kind of scare me. The note number 2 says: Once conversion is done, the account is not allowed to be convert back to Kawanku Account.

Am I at the right place?

Thanks in advanced.

No. Please do not convert your account.

You can open new M2U Saver account by clicking the Apply Online > Choose Saving account.
