Recent news said government going to close down or sell MAS airline to 3rd party. Should i convert my credit card points to enrich miles? As of today i got around 2 million maybank points.

The problem is my credit points going to expired soon (end of April'19)

appreciate any advice, thanks!

It depends on your options: can you redeem to KF or asiamiles too?....if not, then your only other option is redeem into cash coupons....

Even if mas is sold, the new owners are likely to keep the same system, including enrich and oneworld....

Thanks limeuu, i planning to travel european countries. Too bad as i check enrich miles, if i just using miles (without cash) to redeem tickets, it only offer 1 destination in Europe, which is London.

As for Krisflyers/Asiamiles, they offer more European destination but relatively need more miles.

2m treatpoints from maybank M2Premier or VI?

if not mistaken, you can convert to around 445k enrich miles (conversion rate 4500 TP = 1000 EM), which is more than enough to redeem business class to London...

Not the best but that's the trying

Today from enrich

Travel from Singapore to any destination with Malaysia Airlines and get rewarded!
For a limited period, book your flights on Business Class and earn 2X Elite Miles to accelerate to your next Enrich Elite tier.

Sounds stupid need to initiate flight from Singapore

Looking at it mas economy better buy with cash. Business is not comparable to kf. So having enrich points really useless. Upgrading to gold is difficult as hell. Enrich must have many blue members and silver. Beyond that the ratio must be huge. Created a useless system.

It depends anyway. Maybe just lucky for those in long-haul n can position to originate from SIN. So, ex-SIN (~45mins flight) just cheap way to accrue sectors (& miles). BTW, I still can see plenty ex-SIN fares cheaper than ex-KUL on OTAs esp. if you can play with cashback, OTA vouchers, etc. Happy hunting!

It's common for airlines to try draw passengers from adjacent countries....

Sq commonly price their long haul tickets from msia (KL/kk/pen) lower than starting the journey from Changi itself....

You also get get cheap tickets to Europe with tg or vn via BKK or sgn....

Means nothing lucrative for enrich to play with
Have 600k uob points likely converting to asia miles rather than enrich since the system is probably less usefull. Asia miles book kl to london is 90k miles can choose British airways premium seats. Economy seats 70k. That is a good deal considering economy on ba is bout 3k rm premium is 8k or 9k value. Business will be 140k asiamiles which is a huge jump.

The enrich is junk, any route I simply check always cost much higher than asiamiles and krisflyer, provided that they also provide inferior product and service compare to most of their competitor

Using aa miles to redeem mas flights also always cheaper than using enrich. Seriously no point to collect enrich miles anymore. Sadly for malaysian its another reason not to support your own flagship.... Just too very bad
I probably have 20k miles in enrich which will forgo or just let it burn.. If lucky enough to book 1 way flight then end the chapter with enrich

I think you mean Asia Miles (AM) right?
AA usually stand for American Airlines (AAdvantage Program) or for local, it can also refer to Air Asia

They ain't that tbh. And you usually find MAS price higher than AM or KF for flight depart from Kul is something very common. Other forumer had explain it before, it is sales strat.

Haha yah
We are just bunch of people with credit card points looking ways to utilize them. Using it to redeem flights naturally is most satisfactory. Rather than using it to exchange vouchers and groceries is probably Saving but.... Ha ha ha
