If I already have some enrich miles and fly to London via British Airways, how do I claim the air miles earn via BA into Enrich miles?

Can I just claim miles to Avios and then transfer to Enrich?

FFP do not allow miles transfer between each other. If they do, i think most will goto AA laugh.gif

How about I haven't claim the miles through Avios, can I just claim it via MAS since BA is part of the One World Alliance.

Sorry if this is a silly question, just wasn't sure if I can claim the miles via MAS's Enrich Mile when flying with a partner airline.

if you flying with QA BA AA Yes you can claim Enrich Miles but you need to include your Enrich number upon booking/check-in, otherwise.. it will be super troublesome.You need to provide Enrich with your boarding pass and such to claim the Enrich Miles and it will takes few month to get it credited to your account.

Provide your Enrich membership number via the airlines' website. Double-check again on the day of travel/before boarding to make sure the number is in the system prior to your flight. I had to ask AA staff to enter the number again prior to boarding a few flights in the US. I provided my Enrich number via their website weeks before my flight but it was not in the system. Miles were credited in due course.

Dear Sifus,

I travel to Newark Liberty international airport from KLIA once or twice every year.

So far the choices I have is with BA (EWR - LHR - KUL) and cathay (EWR - HKG - KUL)

At the moment I am spoil with FF choices and cannot decide which one suits me the most.

Please advise among Enrich/Asiamiles/AAdvantage, which one is the most suitable for me? cry.gif

Depends on ur personal preference.

If only fly the route you mentioned once or twice a year, Avios or AAdvantage could be less favorable because miles you collecting are unlikely to get you some long haul flight.

Enrich or AsiaMiles, at least we could redeem from our cards.

I personally collect miles on enrich, useful for some short haul flights and wide availability on economy seat.

I been to the forum there, it is quite confusing to me and will take quite some time to read through everything.

Thank you for the reply.

As some sifus mention that for cathay, it is very hard to get award ticket for its flight.
Not really familiar with BA Avios though, it will be my last choice because of the long hours of layover in LHR.
I do not have any knowledge in frequent flyer program. I m not sure which FF will get the best bang for my cash.

Hence the dilemma of choosing the correct FF miles.

There are certain route which are very difficult to get a seat, ie HKG-LHR, SYD, MEL and the states, but difficult doesn't mean impossible biggrin.gif

If u travel a lot between South East Asia, I would recommend enrich for it's economy class. My recent redemption is on PEN-KUL-MNL return on eco, cost me RM5xx in term of value, compare to purchase directly which cost me RM1.4k

If u travel a lot between Asia Pacific, I would recommend asiamiles for it's business class. KUL-HKG in biz is about RM700? biggrin.gif P/S: What good with CX? It doesn't has fuel surcharges on most of it's route

Have to agree with the flyertalk part, go read up and understand the pros and cons there. Far more experience there compared to what we can provide here, plus you get to firm up your objective once you have a lot more info/knowledge.

Best case scenario where you're flying economy class and can get 100% miles back is KUL-LHR-EWR/JFK at around 20k miles per trip or say 40k miles per year.

Assuming you're flying out of KUL:
* 40k miles on AAdvantage is a one way trip to North America or Europe.
* 40k miles on Avios is about 8 one-ways to SGN/PNH/HKT/KBV or about 5 one-ways to BKK/RGN/CGK/REP

An alternative is to fly KUL to EWR/JFK on a Star Alliance airline eg. Turkish or Singapore and register for United MileagePlus.

Also assuming out of KUL
* 40k miles on MileagePlus is a one-way to North America
* 40k miles on MileagePlus is 2 one-ways to AKL/SYD/MEL/PER

Overall the answer is it depends on what your objective is.

Good luck

i would point out if you are working towards status, most of the OW programs have a "minimum sectors on metal" condition. i.e. if you wanna take AM / MPC, you need some flights on CX.
