Really? Sound like it depends on the driver's behavior and route case I guess?

I drive 65km (home->work->home) per day daily. This is the way i drive:

1. When battery is charging using fuel (on a straight road), drive abit faster by constant slow acceleration to boost recharge.
2. When battery is (almost) full, try to drive at 60km/h by using battery power only.
3. Drive faster when going down to the slope, drive with constant speed when climbing a hill by allow battery power kick in to assist.
4. Always forecast the traffic at the front, start releasing pedal to let the car roll slowly if stop is required soon, drive as if I dont have to brake.
5. Avoid idling. Always.
6. Accelerate gently.
*
Except for 60km/hr (actually average 55), the others were obtained using cruise control.

For me, I will glide (neither acceleration nor deceleration) or use minimum battery power when going down a slope. Accelerate when going up a slope since the car needs power, so might as well take the opportunity to charge the battery

FYI, I have done 11.6k km so far

Maybe due to road condition. I test it on kulim-penang highway with slopes. Higher speed cause the car to have better inertia hence easier to climb compare to slower speed. So average fc is better since during climbing the car fc wont drop much.

I was experimenting to see how good FC could be for a long distance journey. So, it took me nearly 3 hours to reach Melaka from PJ. I best I have ever seen was 35+km/l. On everage, this is what I got. Quite disappointing. May be my driving technique was not effective?

How do you get the battery power kick in to assist? I have been driving PC for a month and only get battery power kick in for the first 5 seconds. After that, solely fuel. When I do constant pedaling, speed drops.

34km/l is AWESOME. The average speed for that trip is 83km/h.

However, it took you extra 1.5 hours to reach there. Here comes the tradeoff: "The petrol saved during the journey" vs "the extra time spent on the journey", which one is more valuable?

One thing I notice is that when driving PC faster got better FC.  tongue.gif

Bro, what is your FC? Previously I tried around 100km/h, no matter how also can't reach more than 24km/l.

Congrats! Keep on!

I also realised that FC is more relevant to the average speed, like the trip above, it is 47km/h. I realised that to keep average speed less than 60km/h, can get more than 27km/l easily.

Guys, please share if you have done more than 27km/l with average speed more than 90km/h. To calculate it, just divide the mileage by the time (in hour).

hmmm, this is not accurate. If the route have alot of stops, it brings down ur average dramatically. Unless the reading is start in the highway i guess?

oh this is tricky brows.gif

You have to increase ur pedal alittle when the battery assist went off, then the battery will come back again. Slightly alittle will do, by controllling the same speed, or very slow acceleration. If u press more than that, pure fuel power wil be used to climb the slope.

Today is my 10th days driving PC XD. Total road trip 1000km dy... Besok service~

Just want to share android apps that I use to track service records, replacement parts cost, car expenses and of course to remind me how much I had spend on accessories.

YES. I manually key in every service visits, parts replacement or any accessories add-ons. Great apps for me to track spareparts price. But not fuel fill-up, don't bother to do it... too frequent and leceh. I just track my fuel expenses on my credit card.

Using NPE to PJ. But I only got it once like that yesterday Most of the time is around 22~25km/l. I am still wondering how I did it, maybe is less car and driving is smooth all the way. hmm.gif

Hey guys, it seems that my PC's engine would always throttle whenever I just started the car to charge the battery, usually when the battery at 2 bar. Then the FC would drop like flies, after that, it does pick up but I got barely like 18 to 22 KM/H after reaching the destination at 10KM - 20KM distance.

How do we improve this?

Guys, after driving for few months, I'm experiencing something like rattle sound inside the cabin when driving onu uneven/rough road with low speed <25km/h. Anyone else have this issue? Search the web, found this link describing almost the same

http://priuschat.com/threads/front-tire-ra...ts-dots.115017/

The noise is like metal shaking... "wong wong" sound... this sound making me crazy sad.gif

The rattling sound...comes from the back or front? If it comes from the back, it may be caused by your rear seat lock. At your next service ask the SC to clean, grease and insulate the seat lock. I had this problem before, now rectified :-)

Happy driving!

This morning I tried to turn off the AC and let it driven for some distance before turning it on. This really improves the whole thing!

Not sure from the back or roof, definately not from the seat as I'm aware of it and fixed it before (insulated).

It is like metal vibrating
