Done 1000km service last thursday, semi syn oil.
Then drove back to kota bharu from kulim. Before i decide to buy this car i ask you guys about the power to climb hill. And finally able to test it myself yesterday. All i can say that it is exceed my expectation. The power is there whenever i need it. Just floor the pedal and it can accelerate easily during climbing at Gerik area, about the same as what my previous manual tranny corolla seg can do. No regret at all buying this car.
Somemore, before start the 320km journey, there are 6 bar of fuel, reaching kota bharu with 2 bar remaining, about rm26 of petrol consumed

Agreed. Drive faster give better fc. I notice that maintaining speed at 110kph on highway give better fc than cruising at 70kph, tested both using auto cruise.

Maybe due to road condition. I test it on kulim-penang highway with slopes. Higher speed cause the car to have better inertia hence easier to climb compare to slower speed. So average fc is better since during climbing the car fc wont drop much.

Guys, good news !

Tested few days,  no annoying rattling sound from my dashboard anymore. Will find sometime to consolidate and take pic of where did I found the rattle sound and post it here.

So that you guys can try yourself to reduce the rattle/snaking noise in your car.

Guys, finally, got time to document this down !
Ok, remember earlier that I find the source of the rattling sound?

(DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK, I DO NOT responsible for anything that happen to you/your car, just sharing my way to eliminate the rattling sound)

Step 1: Finding the source
I manage to find the source of the sound from, which when I put my hand on the RED area, the rattling gone. So, I'm very sure it noise is from there.

Step 2: Prepare your material
I got this thing from RM5 shop (Daiso) & you need plenty of courages on next steps.

Step 3: Dashboard pulling
When pull the dash out, careful for the emergency button & wiring connector. Disconnect them carefully)

Step 4: Apply the sound proofing meterial

Hi ZaRR and everyone,
I have placed a booking for my PC yesterday. Test driven it a few times but my real concern was the deafening engine or was it the ecvt noise when putting my foot down on the accelarator and its not even that hilly.  cry.gif The noise insulation lesser than big brother Prius but then again thats what 39k diffrence will do in terms of quality I guess. Will be travelling to Jeli from KL via Grik often to there so do I stick to my choice or upgrade to Prius? I own an old Honda Stream 2.0 and would easily take on that task but its a fuel guzzler and not economical when theres only 2 passengers. That diffrence of 600 ringgit in instalment does send shivers whenever I think of it but if in the long run the benefit would outways it ... pls share yourexperience when going up hilly roads like cameron or genting or better yet Grik/ Bjrn Titiwangsa. TQ all

i don't know how honda stream 2.0 perform on gerik-jeli road, but for me, i can say that prius C perform equal or slightly better than my old corolla SEG 1.6 manual during climbing.
it is all about money, if you have budget, you should go for prius, can have larger space. if i have extra budget, i also will go for prius. pc is cheaper, smaller, but have better look.

Anyone tried esso? I tried myself last weekend during trip to jb. Autocruise at 110kmh gave only 19-20km/l. While when im using caltex can easily get 21-22km/l during cruising on plus highway.

i found out using B gear will charge the battery during downhill. managed to get full bar battery once by using B gear going downhill from puncak titiwangsa to jeli. brake usage is minimal.
