Back to square, I don't mind spending few hundreds for my modem or router provided the ISP deserves for such devices.

If not, I better use the money to makan. whistling.gif I get high speed in office all the time, more than 30Mbps, going back to my PJ house is just for downloads and surfing.

Even that Maxis fails to fulfill my requests. sleep.gif

If I am honest, at my location using whatever modem on Maxis is plain useless, about the same speed on all DC capable modem, just stability differs

My test hardware is always Umobile which really challenge the ability of modem. 30mbps++ biggrin.gif

Kinda regretted subscribing to Maxis doh.gif

Hmm.. When I stay there the I max the download speed from this modem is
E1762 HSPA - 900KB/s-1MB/s
E353 HSPA+ -1.8MB/s-2.1MB/s
E372  DC HSPA+ - 3.1MB/s-3.4MB/s

I try find free time just to go there make some download test smile.gif
I'm using the Tplink TL-MR3420 with E372
Signal less than 50% using lan and wifi is the same smile.gif

"Though it says 42000 downlink, that doesn't mean you should be expecting 42Mbps connection speed. That's not happening, yet. At this moment, the maximum speed Maxis DC-HSPA+ users can get is around 22-23Mbps."

Nah, for the whole night my E398 only got 5Mbps max. I got so fed up with it and changed to MF680 and immediately my speed straight shot up to 11Mbps. Coincidence? I don't know.
Yes stable in obtaining slow speed lo. laugh.gif

No cooling was done and actually oh E398 is equivalent hot as well.

Havent, but you decide lorh laugh.gif

Speed better than E372 and MF680 in my case.

Since MF680 even worst than E372 at my loacation.

Stability confirm a lot a lot better than MF680 wink.gif

Its not worth to buy that now.

The price is too expensive now, better wait when Maxis launch and you will get a nice deal brows.gif
