QUOTE(johnlau91 @ Dec 22 2012, 11:27 PM) thanks chuahcs79 First you need private IP to be enabled do you know any good 3G router which is stable? I need it to set up a remote cctv in place where TM is not available. Second you need a rock solid stable modem, E372 is recommended As for 3G router, TP-LINK MR3420 is affordable yet one of the most stable that always reconnect if dropped. Stock firmware is recommended, as OpenWRT might crash or fail to reconnect sometime. |

Mistake public IP OpenWRT more advanced on feature and more consistent WiFi + 3G but for the long run I suggest stock firmware. Do nothing with modem while just setup port forwarding on router. |

QUOTE(digilife @ Dec 23 2012, 01:19 AM) i think he refer to one of the reason i might knowopenwrt redial the connection only up to how many times, whiel stock firmware redial is infinite , let say example, since maxis last down 3 hour, when i wake up, V2 stock firmware able to redial and connect even after how many time redial but the openwrt V1 is not able to redial through the last 3 hour,.. and i have to manually reboot for it to redial again,.. |

I'm at my sister's house now. I'm at her family hall at 1st floor, signal drops a bit but the upload speed is still crazy.
![]() Added on December 23, 2012, 1:57 am ![]() I think the engineers tweaked the wrong thing here. Oh ya with E398 no panel. Lazy to bring my panel here. This post has been edited by fruitie: Dec 23 2012, 01:57 AM |

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Dec 23 2012, 01:58 AM) But download speed is no good. Nevertheless, my sister's house is out of coverage for UniFi but her Streamyx 4Mbps is pretty good actually. Speedtest shows around 4.1Mbps and 2 iPads and 2 Galaxy Note II are connected via WiFi and do streaming. |
