maxis did improve, from 8 to 10

E353 HSPA+ -1.8MB/s-2.1MB/s
E372  DC HSPA+ - 3.1MB/s-3.4MB/s

I try find free time just to go there make some download test
I'm using the Tplink TL-MR3420 with E372
Signal less than 50% using lan and wifi is the same

There were, users from Cyberjaya and Sepang.

me can, midnight 3-7am. download speed can constant at 3.6MB, max can up to 3.8MB.

In my place previously QOS capped at 16mbps...i managed to get half of speed around 7-8mbps and now QOS capped at 42mbps and i managed  around 15- 20mbps..speed totally improved and fast

Since I'm far away from tower i managed to get 20mbps at my home during non peak hours but not always and  beyond 21mbps still can't reach it...unless i go to that tower and the highest i got was 25mbps.

my speed is getting better with blacktubi's E398 and maybe Maxis has upgraded its tower here.

one thing I notice with MF680..
when direct plug the modem to usb port at my laptop, it becomes hot as hell
but when using usb cable extension, it generates less heat, and i can use it all day without problem

im using maxis e372 > usb extension 5 meter > mr3420 v1 router(openwrt firmware) > cat6 lan cable > my laptop..the hint is fint the best spot to put ur modem first and from there u can get nice ping and dload/upload speed

lowest ping i can get is 28 but its on 7 a.m but now the ping maintain between 30-40ms only

MF680 vs E398

Speedtest , nothing to shout about , no LTE scanned.

But the best improvement is RSSI shaved from -95dBm (E372) to -77dBm without any Antenna

Anyway, its a good buy considering my first E372 was purchased for RM480 and second E372 was bought for RM300 .

ya, one more thing, its "Fibre Like" now, as pages load with a click, very responsive compared to MF680/E372
