SKype with maxis also need a tricks,.
so far i try all other random port number SKype been auto provide when u install, but all those random port given very lame connection even your connection is superb, and i though this is Maxis 3G thread? Anyway You are winner here, i am not as rich as you to use Yes Premium Internet,.. oh , Yes is also a wimax 2.3 band,.. so my area Yes speed = 9~12Mbps only,. Max = 12Mbps,. yes i try before Yes in my area, peak hour it sucks big time,. sorry for OFF TOPIC Added on December 14, 2012, 3:51 pmIf getting this kind of speed from maxis, am sure User wont use Yes ![]() This post has been edited by chuahcs79: Dec 14 2012, 03:51 PM |

QUOTE(mel5582 @ Dec 14 2012, 03:54 PM) My sis just signed up for YES 2 weeks ago (staying in Minden Heights).. speed like crap ahahaha. I let her use my SIM and she wanna buy Maxis unlimited plan cuz able to get more than 10Mbps whereas YES can get only 5-7Mbps at her area. yeah my area is the samewhen peak hour hit, Yes speed is |

QUOTE(garytey @ Dec 18 2012, 05:25 PM) thanks for your sharing, very useful info. i dunno whether my panel is finally working, but since it is implemented, the speedtest constantly display at 8mbps, i think my cell tower is qos by 8640 though. cant check with E398, by the way, if i use e1762(7.2 Mbps modem), can i get the actual cell tower qos? lets say 42000? u need 21Mbps or above modem to check QoS,.. any lower than that , u will only see 8640/8640 QoS Added on December 18, 2012, 5:37 pm QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 18 2012, 05:23 PM) Yes can, you need to turn on only know which angle is the best what. wellI keep on plugging in and out for my both panels. TS-9 is not that fragile. Now I feel that my E372 is pitiful, left out after some time. guess they all finally can retired already,. This post has been edited by chuahcs79: Dec 18 2012, 05:37 PM |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 18 2012, 05:38 PM) That could be the reason or congestion in your area. i love the TS-9 convertor, not fragile at all, not like CRC9,.. super stress if speed / signal inconsistent, epsecially those plug / unplug moments I sometimes can't get anything >5Mbps too. Need some patience, after a while the speed will come up again. All thanks to Maxis' inconsistency. But again, I have to be fair with them. Over the years, Maxis has improved tremendously Added on December 18, 2012, 5:39 pm Even I use my ZTE MF680 more than E372. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 19 2012, 02:32 PM) Definitely lo. My E398 is quite good. u might want to lelong them off,.Even my MF680 is faster than E372. Now I have so many unused modems. i just release a few of my modem,.. Added on December 19, 2012, 2:38 pm QUOTE(maxcheam @ Dec 19 2012, 02:33 PM) not necessarily. Speed wise, it will be almost the same as you're using one modem. Reliability wise, it is much better as if one of your connection failed, Dispatch will switch to the other connection seamlessly. yeah if using dispatch to load balance, then it would be whole new story This post has been edited by chuahcs79: Dec 19 2012, 02:38 PM |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 19 2012, 02:38 PM) yeah price is superb due to it is HOT model for now,.. Added on December 19, 2012, 2:41 pm QUOTE(blacktubi @ Dec 19 2012, 02:39 PM) May I have some input on E372 stability VS E398. so far even my handicap cap maxis set E372 also hands down beat my ZTE MF680 in stability, I am researching on this but the result varies. MF680 definitely lose out on stability This post has been edited by chuahcs79: Dec 19 2012, 02:41 PM |

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Dec 20 2012, 01:25 AM) What happened to my place ._. u needThe speed is too random that I can't predict when only has good line. Even during day time dl reaching 600-700 KB/s now only 2xxKB/s so weird. Using E372 now. Basically there is improvement over my previous E367 by almost 2 times in good speed condition. But then to hit 1MB/s barrier is another way to go - MDMA ( to tweak on band config ) - tweak UMTS2100 on MDMA - take note of all the CELL ID in MDMA ( so u will know which CELL ID is best for you in speed + consistency ) - if your E372 is huawei set or 3 set, make sure u update to latest firmware + dashboard ( newer modem driver will help a bit in your connection too ) - use reflecting signal technology,( if u dont have antenna or dont have budget to buy antenna ) refer -> : http://www.surfbooster.blogspot.com/ Added on December 20, 2012, 1:34 am QUOTE(pandera999 @ Dec 20 2012, 01:19 AM) if u need it for most of the time on "mobile" easy to move around, guess not much choice left either huawei E355 / ZTE MF70 + power bank or any usb modem like Huawei E372/Huawei E367 + Hame A1/A100 or any usb modem + TP Link MR3040 ( at home, u can take out the battery and use with power cable directly ) just remember to place your combination MOdem + router set near window or best at outdoor, due to signal is better and less interfere This post has been edited by chuahcs79: Dec 20 2012, 01:48 AM |
