I have the Hydro G Pro 750w. I was surprised it came bundled with a native 12vhpwr cable (much better than gpu supplied splitter), despite being an old model.
While it is no Seasonic, at rm430, this psu is a banger thumbsup.gif

That's good to hear. Hydro G pro is the one I am going to get. Probably going for 850w 3.0 version.

IF your going to upgrade to 1440P in some time, yeah stick to 800-850W Gold rated PSU, you wont go wrong with any of the named brands but 1st player NGDP is worth to consider if its cheaper than the others. PSU guru Cmaris gave it a good review https://hwbusters.com/psus/1st-player-ngdp-850w-psu-review/

I shall give it a serious look on this 1st player PSU.

Beware of buying FSP Hydro G Pro ATX3.0 ( PCIe5.0 ) 850w.

Just bought this PSU brand new and used only a for a month and the PC were only turn on by weekend SAT & SUN only.

Suddenly one day when I turn on the PC, the PSU is making a clicking noise at regular intervals under a second and the MOBO, Graphics Card, Case Fans and Case LEDs are flickering
on off simultaneously with the clicking noise. cry.gif

I thought my whole PC hardware gone case due to this on off simultaneously under a second but after remove this PSU and install back my old PSU the PC boot up and load into windows. rclxms.gif

I'm not sure what cause this PSU to suddenly faulty in a month, since i have never game or running any stress test on the PSU, just only watching movies and copy files to the HDD this whole month.

Previously bought their FSP Hyper K (Low End PSU) and been using 7 years already no such problem.

That is a Atier PSU, so its likely a faulty unit produced (it happens), you can also try check if power input from TNB is stable, are you connected to a UPS?

Sometimes its batch related, Superflower had a batch which had fan noise issue.

TNB current is stable no issue, so not using UPS since power input were fine and all my PC were connect with surge protection and RCCB (10ma).

Been using this PC for 4 years with Super Flower Leadex 3 Gold before upgrade to this FSP PSU and another PC which used daily with
Seasonic S12 G Gold for 9 years. The Super Flower PSU were meant for the daily PC after the upgrade. Never have such issue before.

After google around, found out someone having the same issue was due to PSU's voltage regulator repeatedly shutting off the power and turning it back on.

Its natural that a single personal experience will have biased POV on any brand even for well establish ones, can see Asus now facing this issue. My FSP HV Pro PSU been working normal for past 2.5 years but also I can vouch for the cap ayam PSU in my older PC 10 years havent died yet. So i guess personal experience can differ. haha.

Otherwise, I havent heard anything bad about Seasonic(Silverstone) so you could give them a try.

I used Seasonic platinum 850w for about 8 yrs.. then died

Now change to FSP Hydro G 1000w atx 3(less than a year)

My point is find some reputable brand ..at least listed in cybernetics

FSP, Seasonic... both are branded and OEM to others. If want Cyber cert, can go for Corsair better ones. These are only Cyber certified

Why long warranty is not a deciding factor
https://hwbusters.com/news/why-long-warrant...-evgas-example/

Interms of reputation FSP have been a PSU maker since long ago and their forte is industrial PSU so they have solid background in PSU design.
