Thinking of buying a superflower leadex platinum 750W, is it a good PSU?

I see that the PCIe cables are single cable with two 6+2 pin connectors.

Would it be safe to use only a single cable to power up a 980ti or need to have two cables and use one connector from each cables?

That's an excellent unit.  TPU has the review for the 1KW variant:
https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/SuperFl...r/SF-1000F14MP/

Very high quality components are used (pretty much all Japanese capacitors) and the performance is excellent and should last you for a very long time.  icon_idea.gif

another reason to go 750W platinum is that its fan is a ball bearing one compare to 750Wgold & silver which is claimed as FDB (or sleeve bearing??)

initially I want to go for 850W gold since based on review it uses ball bearing fan. one problem though. I found out that the dimensions of leadex gold PSU are conflicting. Johnnyguru stated that the depth is 180mm while factory specs stated 200mm. I dunno what is the depth for the current version. this is mainly for clearance factor since I want to fit a 120mm bottom fan inside my cm690 iii.

Hi guys, My corsair RM750i just died. Lucky for me I still have my corsair TX650 V2. I want to know since my dead PSU already passed 1 year do I still need to send to viewnet for RMA or direct to corsair?

How about EVGA G+ 850W? sure its OEM is FSP but it is a good unit. I am using one right now and its pretty good. Plus, if I remember correctly, EVGA G+ 850w and 1000w does not have capacitors in their cables (750W and below have it). This means that if you want to get custom made cables you don't have to worry much about whether the lack of capacitors will affect the PSU performance.

You already bought it. Just use it.

Please also take note Super Flower Leadex based platform is at the bottom of top tier due to 2nd tier caps on modular board.

I am suggesting to hanaxxaru in case he still haven't bought hx750 biggrin.gif

I am very happy with mine. No problems so far, very quiet despite not having fanless mode.

It has been about 7 years since I have last bought a power supply for my build.
Now its maybe about time I updated and get a new PSU. After doing some calculating my build consumes about below 500 watts.
Any recommendations? I am more partial towards FSP and Superflower but I can consider other brands as long as it was in tier A by cultists

PS: I saw quite a number of seller selling EVGA 1300w mining PSU. Anybody know who are the OEM for that psu? I'm just curious
because there are no detailed reviews of that PSU in the internet.

base on your budget

Modular / non modular

600w / 750w / 850w

Gpu is the most power hungry among all power consumption..
*
Budget: Between RM500 to RM800
Modular (no non modular that have gold rating)
850watt. 750 watt is fine too if got tight budget.

Currently running GTX950. Future plan will include upgrading to a GPU that can run 1080p games easily and probably some light video editing, and probably AM5.

So I guess EVGA is out of question. Currently looking at FSP hydro G pro, superflower leadex iii gold, corsair RM and seasonics.

Can consider FSP Vita GM. 80+ Gold Full Modular. This is ATX 3.1, good for future proofing.

850w less than RM600, 1000w less than RM700.

Relatively new, so currently not in PSU cultlist (it hasn't been updated for a while now).

There are other ATX 3.1 options too like 1stPlayer.

I kinda liked the current offerings by FSP in particular those Hydro G pros simply because they have that eco mode in which I would turn it off so that the fan can keep spinning regardless of temperature laugh.gif
The new Vita GM looks great, compact even. I will wait for the complete review on this.
Not sure about 1stPlayer because this one is new to me.

To run just 1080P games no need high powered PSU even 650W dah cukup. But going for a much higher watt PSU does means you have more headroom for better upgrades (for 1440P/4K GPU) or migrate it to a new build later on.
*
That was what I am looking for, that headroom. I bought my 850w psu because I am thinking that the psu would not be working so hard because my build isn't high powered. laugh.gif
But yeah I will upgrade to 1440p sooner or later so having a higher wattage psu will be great.

I have the Hydro G Pro 750w. I was surprised it came bundled with a native 12vhpwr cable (much better than gpu supplied splitter), despite being an old model.
While it is no Seasonic, at rm430, this psu is a banger thumbsup.gif

That's good to hear. Hydro G pro is the one I am going to get. Probably going for 850w 3.0 version.

IF your going to upgrade to 1440P in some time, yeah stick to 800-850W Gold rated PSU, you wont go wrong with any of the named brands but 1st player NGDP is worth to consider if its cheaper than the others. PSU guru Cmaris gave it a good review https://hwbusters.com/psus/1st-player-ngdp-850w-psu-review/
*
I shall give it a serious look on this 1st player PSU.
