I currently have a 550w 80+ bronze psu. Planning to upgrade to a 4070 which doesn't draw more than 200w at load for gaming (based on benchmarking videos).

CPU is i5 12400F, don think can use until 300w

A 4070 isn't a power demanding GPU, so a 550W unit is plenty sufficient provided that it's a quality unit

My current project requiring me to power dual Xeon CPU on motherboard. So I got myself a FSP HV PRO 85+ Bronze 650W, which was described to have 2 8 and 4+4 EPS connectors built-in.

Now I have the items with me, turned out that the so-called 2 EPS is actually an extension of the 8pin to another 4+4 pins.

Question1; can I use both connectors from the same cable to power up dual CPU? Can the cable sustain the potential power that might flow through the same cable.

Question 2: This China made motherboard gave instructions that if our PSU  has only one EPS, we can use one PCI4 6+2 pins, connect the 6 pins into the CPU connector but reverse the orientation, ie. face the clip opposite to the clip on the CPU connector.  Has anyone done this before and how safe it is. I tried to search online but such tweak is hard to find online.

Is the port same? If not should I wait for new one comes out then only buy the new PSU? Is FSP Hydro TI Pro 1000W a good ATX 3.0 PSU?

Sigh.. Not sure I unlucky or what. I got a unit of Super Flower Leadex VII 1000w that has coil whine and it's loud. Thank God the RMA is quick but I had to top up to get the 1300w cause the 1000w and other equivalent is out of stock BUT this replacement unit also got the same coils whine issue...need to RMA after CNY again..

So 2 units of Super Flower also got coil whine issue..

Fan noisy I can understand. Problem is I haven't even put in the GPU already got coil whine sound =(

Super Flower is distributed by Sun Cycle.. So they have limited brands that I can exchange. One of it maybe I can exchange for FSP or NCXT PSU..
