QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Apr 2 2013, 12:38 PM) How about Seasonic G series 550W 80+ Gold modular version. Enough? Still undecided between this two models G 550 is enough too. Up to u to pick a modular 80+ gold or non-modular 80+ bronze. Gtx 650 and xeon doesnt consume much power.

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Apr 2 2013, 12:51 PM) What if being pushed to GTX660? Both G 550 or S 620W can power up to gtx 680 and 7970 without problem.

Is FSP Hexa 500W enough to power up my current spec and future upgrades?
Current rig: i5 2300 4x2GB RAM P67 ATX Mobo GTX660 3 hard disks 4-5 LED fans
Future upgrade: Xeon 4x2GB RAM Z77 mATX Mobo GTX660 2 hard disks 2 LED fans
Currently using Tagan 700W, but I'm thinking of downgrading it coz I don't think I need that much power.
Saw Xigmatek Tauro 500W selling for quite an attractive price too. Is that a good choice?

The GX550 power supply is not exactly a reputable power supply, so I'd suggest changing it when you're actually intending to run a CFX set-up. The calculation of 483W though is rather absurd, and I would place the theoretical peak power consumption of your system at below 350W.

QUOTE(ntw @ May 2 2013, 07:43 PM) so saying, i can get a 80+bronze or gold psu around 550W and it will be enough to power me down the cfx path? Well, theoretically yes, a good 550W power supply can support two HD7850's power consumption along with the rest of your system's components, but to be safe, get a power supply with a capacity of at least 600W.

QUOTE The 4th generation Core processors have new C6 and C7 power states that require your PSU supports a minimum of 0.05 amps on the 12V2 rail. That minimum is well below the previous minimums set by the Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge processors, and is not supported by all existing PSUs. The reality is, if your PSU doesn’t have support then a Haswell chip could make your entire system become unstable unless you disable those low power states.
