what are the normal temp range for y500 during gaming and non gaming ? mine feels pretty hot at the sides beside the end of the keyboard

Its the heat vent, sure it will be pretty hot.

new user of y400 reporting! just got it this afternoon and i fell in love
at first sight. Like the fiery red keyboard

i have a problem,

everything just fine before, i can play sleeping dogs for 3 hours. but then
after i played the game, i try to watch youtube then the screen flashing n there is notification "display driver stop responding and recover". i'm using version 306.00, should i upgrade to the latest version and where can i find?

please help me

just update the driver... no harm doing that... nVidia website is the place...

Can u share your temps when idle and after a lengthy gaming session? both cpu and gpu temps...thanks...mine also seems to be a little bit hot...

either local set Y400 or us set Y500 / Y580 at similar price around 2.7k (both single gpu).. which 1 better? I mean for value for money thingy..

local set Y400... saves yourself from headache of warranty which high likely you'll need it with Y500 US set...

hi...y500 user here...wanna ask should i place games that are sli compatible at full settings? or juz minimum setting...coz the air vents become very hot when play at full setting...

All out full setting bro!!But i find that if i turn on AA there will be microstutters on most games. U should try experimenting but generally yeah just go full on max

Hm, any Y580 users here using HDD in caddy in ODD bay? Somehow my HDD sometimes got some soft of bug where it is detected but not operating correctly... Maybe i should take it out and remount it...

Y400 using GT 650M right? how is GT 650M(ASUS N56V) compare to GT 650M (Lenovo Y400)?

just to ask..is there anybody here using Y-series not for gaming purpose? I mean mostly use for high capacity workload that will fully utilize proc+gpu potential? anyone?

i read from china forum that the new batch (manufactured after Jan '13) of y500 is using another brand of WIFI adapter (forget the name) and the touchpad issues has been fixed.

can anyone confirm this?

guys my lenovo y580 recently acting weird because I sense some major lag when even browsing using google chrome and opening folders. So, can anyone tell me how to fix this problem ? Can I revert back using my 4 Disc when I first used it to do system recovery ? if so how please teach me sifu

I got offer for Y580 spec without mSATA SSD but with 500Gb Buffalo Ext HDD (usb 3.0) + laptop backpack for RM 3,399.. I saw someone mention Y580 can get for RM2,999? Anyone can confirm me this?
