I always prefer a single card GPU over a dual card GPU (CFX/SLI)...cause Dual card GPU tend to hv incompatible issue for lots of games...
and rating between GT with GTX is alot different...cannot compare with GT650M and GTX660M, even GT650M SLI, some performance for certain game won't be there... Glad that I got my Y580, happy user till now...not to say, the 1st user here with SSD upgrade |

well, this might do it...comparison of GT650M and GTX660M....
http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForc...0M.71887.0.html http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForc...0M.71859.0.html I won't compare them with GT650M SLI because not fair for single vs dual GPU http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForc...LI.84953.0.html |

Y500 is better....but if u compare G55 with Y580, 1 is pure gaming rig quality, another is budget gaming quality...so far, Y580 never let me down even once, after i plugged in my SSD in it

QUOTE(kuroneko0509 @ Dec 11 2012, 08:31 PM) yay yes, be ready from shipment from Germanystock y580 wifi adapter is lousy one... max speed only 72Mbps.. besides, the bios somehow detect the wifi adapter... so, if wanna change, you might need to flash to custom bios (later i'll update front page with this info... later) the temp not that high imho.... it's kinda normal temp when you doing daily stuff or gaming.... don't expect very uber cool temp when doing heavy load on your laptop well, if you're really think extra warranty is not needed & yakin can take care of your laptop well probably can get from him... but i heard that there might be some problem in claiming warranty ... i'm not sure about warranty stuff since i never claimed any warranty on any of my devices that i owned. you ordered the DVD?? Added on December 11, 2012, 11:05 pm QUOTE(xD4rever @ Dec 11 2012, 09:53 PM) can I get offer rm50 upgrade to window 8 pro iin my y500 nope, only USD 3x.xx cause i have promo codeAdded on December 11, 2012, 8:55 pm u pay the 79USD to upgrade? switching to SSD is a great idea, cause SSD doesn't produce as much heat as HDD...is like 3X lower heat it generates compare with HDD....
for me, 128GB is more than enough for me...the rest, i will leave it to my USB3.0 external HDD....however, 1 thing i do like about windows 8, it feels tons lighter than windows 7 !!! |

SSD is always best for boot and system drives, not storage...
typical storage, flashdrives or pendrives are more than enough, cause they're not using mechanical too...i always prefer flashdrives and memory cards(class 10) Added on December 12, 2012, 11:10 amjust that sometimes, we waste more money on flashdrives/pendrives/memory cards to get the capacity we wanted using external HDD, but USB3.0 turbo speed buffalo ext HDD never let me down This post has been edited by XionCity: Dec 12 2012, 11:10 AM |

SSD + Corsair Vengence ram + TurboPC Ex from Buffalo Ext HDD's software, really boost up my start up time from 27-29 secs to 20 secs
