I'f I'm not mistaken, it will always run at lower speed out of two... you probably can OC the 1GHz to 1.25GHz... though I won't recommend it...

hi guys, i've been using Y480. I mod my rig by moving the hdd to the odd using a caddy to reduce the heat problem on the hdd.

My fren is looking to buy Y400 now. He'd like to know from those owners of Y400:

1) Is there heat problem on Y400 (like Y480)? Do you need to do the same (moving hdd) like on the Y480?

2) What's the average price of Y400 now?

3) Is there great improvement over Y480?

1) no and if u wan u need a special caddy from lenovo as y400 odd is specially made for its sli function

2)reatil price is 2799(not sure) but u c an get cheaper abit i think

3)yeah, de temperature has improve(runs cooler) and it has sli function as it may improve some game experience
(does not own a y400 but all information are observe by this thread so if anything wrong dont blame me )

go to pc settings -> general -> remove everything and reinstall windows (for disc-less)
or you can just get iso online and reinstall as usual, given that you knew your serial

I got my y500 sli yesterday online. Having a problem though as I don't think my second gpu in the ultrabay is on/detected. I slotted it in and locked it in position, is there something im missing here? In my nvidia control panel I don't even get the option to configure SLI options. Any help is appreciated.

i dunno much but probably u can try clean update nvidia driver first.

1) Can u snap a picture of ur y480 back?does it change the shape or look of the laptop (i mean does it look bulkier)? 2)How much it cost for modding by moving the hdd to the odd?what is caddy? I guess it voids the warranty right?
