IMHO - it's the concept or WHY that is not too right

One's $ hard earned sweat (unless stolen lar tongue.gif), give to someone else to totally manage is DANGEROUS to say the least, unless they have earned one's trust. At the very least - outsource the running about to agents but do the decisions / asset allocations oneself.

Unless of course one wants to have a scapegoat to blame lar  sweat.gif

hmm.gif just my suggestion.....just don't put all your investment monies into just 1 or 2 funds.....CIMB Islamic Dali Equities fund is a Malaysia focused fund.....you can start with that if you are comfortable to that, but I would suggest after that try build a portfolio of funds that are suitable to your individual risk profile/appetite.

The link has become invalid because of the recent meager between RHB and OSK-UOB.

I have updated a link from RHB-OSK website:

Introduction to Unit Trust

I also added a link from FSM.

this fund never fails me for three years in a row with 10%-15% profit.

just go in.

when i went in, it was the highest price during that time. to my surprise, it went higher today.

just recently, my client already have clean profit with this fund around 11%-12.4%.

that is their investment since this year January and April.

good luck.

Hi everyone can recommend which units trust can invest in 2014?
*
unknown to your risk profile, what is "missing or too much" in the portfolio and etc....
may I suggest you read thru these links first.

Getting Started : Knowing Yourself
We will attempt to read your mind.

Hmmm, OK, yes, yes.. The picture is becoming clearer.

OK, this is what you are thinking.

"I need more money in my life".

Good, aren't we?

Well, the trick is simple. We all need more money in our life. Money to pay our housing loans, car loans, income taxes, and bills, bills, bills. We need money to buy the things we want and pamper ourselves once in while. We need money to start a family, and provide for our children. At the end of the day, when we retire and we stop drawing an income, we still need to have enough money to live day to day.

Yes, it's tough.

But the good news is that we can retire comfortably. By investing wisely now, all of us can generate enough cash to deal with all of the above, and more.

However, before you jump in and start investing your hard-earned money, there are several important things that you would need to know about yourself first.
•How much do you really need? (Future Planning)
•How much risk can you take? (Risk Level)
•How long are you willing to wait before you see profits? (Time Horizon)

Hi all, my public mutual agent has run away and now I can't get hold of him to withdraw my money. Is there any other ways I can do it without going through him? Please advise, thanks a lot.

Hi Penang Laksa,
i'm a newbie here, anyway if you want to withdraw PM money you can either go to other PM agent for withdrawal (but for sure after this he will ask you to invest him la..hahaha) or....you straight go to PM office say want to withdraw..

done that...

Hello guys, just started to take an interest with financial stuffs so I thought it'd be a good idea to ask around and learn smile.gif

Say I have RM3000 disposable income every month and I would like to invest it for my future, is there any good place I can look at and start studying? Unit trust a good place to start?

Well personally I've started investing in stocks, but I would like to diversify my portfolio beyond stock market..Was thinking about physical gold and silver haha

Suggest you consider Unit Trust as well - shop around for top performing growth funds (subject to your risk profile) and do a monthly Standing instruction on it...

Consider RM300 to RM500 monthly or less for a growth fund with good 3yr to 5yr growth...SHOP for the fund type not the Fundhouse (company offerring unit trust funds for sale)

Hope the above helps

physical gold & silver is kinda volatile at the moment... IMO

unit trust should be good next after you have a good stocks portfolio.

example,

60% equity 20% bonds 15% fixed income 5% standby laugh.gif

People invest in unit trust because they don't have the
time to study the markets and companies, and these
are what things unit trust agents spend time and helping us do
all the work nod.gif if you'r good and patient, you will study the
companies and analyse the market urself thumbup.gif
There's no 100% win rate return, everything has it's risk rclxms.gif

Quick guide:

UT is for long term..adn u need to sail the volatility of the fund performances
secondly, you need to do some homework beyond what the agent tells u
the approach to UT is changing and I personally am looking for a tool to help me or guide me on fund performances.

Anyway, I been investing for 8 years in 4 funds and so far, positive returns except for one minimal losses for now...

Yes there is risk in everything but one has "calculate the risk" based on ur risk profile - how much can u withstand a volatile market..amongst others.

There are many funds yo outthere..sometimes confusing but selecting the right one takes sometime.

i invested adn it took me a few weeks to decide- my way is to do my own analysis also

Guys, what should I do with my KWSP? Will withdraw this year. I'm not sure how much, perhaps 10k, 20k? And what should I do with RM500-1000 per month. If I kept it, for sure I will spend the money for my hobby. doh.gif
