Hello guys, just started to take an interest with financial stuffs so I thought it'd be a good idea to ask around and learn smile.gif

Say I have RM3000 disposable income every month and I would like to invest it for my future, is there any good place I can look at and start studying? Unit trust a good place to start?

Well personally I've started investing in stocks, but I would like to diversify my portfolio beyond stock market..Was thinking about physical gold and silver haha

Suggest you consider Unit Trust as well - shop around for top performing growth funds (subject to your risk profile) and do a monthly Standing instruction on it...

Consider RM300 to RM500 monthly or less for a growth fund with good 3yr to 5yr growth...SHOP for the fund type not the Fundhouse (company offerring unit trust funds for sale)

Hope the above helps

People invest in unit trust because they don't have the
time to study the markets and companies, and these
are what things unit trust agents spend time and helping us do
all the work nod.gif if you'r good and patient, you will study the
companies and analyse the market urself thumbup.gif
There's no 100% win rate return, everything has it's risk rclxms.gif

Quick guide:

UT is for long term..adn u need to sail the volatility of the fund performances
secondly, you need to do some homework beyond what the agent tells u
the approach to UT is changing and I personally am looking for a tool to help me or guide me on fund performances.

Anyway, I been investing for 8 years in 4 funds and so far, positive returns except for one minimal losses for now...
