yeah without any additional cooling, the V2 performances didnt drop, so that's the first best thing,

second best thing is the wireless N 300Mbps alone can use,. not like V1 wireless N bug issue cannot performs ,

Never encounter it before. .. but I was hoping for that I can play the v2 with open art

V2 can use wireless N alone now without worry the wireless bug like happen in V1,

so far there is no official openwrt support V2 yet, guess we all have to wait

yeah..i just tested the Wireless N, files transfer via wireless has been greatly improved...now bridge with my asus router, as E372 connect to V2

bet V2 performs superb excellent in openwrt compare to V1

i need serious help here! E398 + MR3420 V2.. why does it keep disconnecting??? is there any setting in V2 that we have to change??? i already changed for it to connect manually and set it to 0 so that it will remain active.. but still.. when i got up in the morning, the e398 already blinking..

and sometimes, the V2 cannot identify e398? it says identifying.. when i reboot then its ok.. but then after several hours it keeps getting the same problems..

You using it with your old E398 or new E398

Please remove the old bin file and factory reset your router

u need to select Option : Connecting automatic and set 0 to IDLE

Added on December 13, 2012, 4:32 pmjadi balik.. after 3 hours.. then kena restart 3-4 times.. weird thing is, mula2 dah successfully identified but cannot connect to internet.. the modem blinking.. then tiba2 identifying modem.. at first using the cable that came with the modem, now direct connect to the router terus.. stresssss! with the latest V2 firmware can see signal strength right?

I have the same problem, E398 + TL-MR3420 v2 cannot connect at all, keep on identifying and connecting yet not connected.

I have done all the steps advised by our sifus blacktubi and chuachs79.

your E398 is old or new ? or rebrand K5005 set ?

new. it has been connected, but if want to connect it back, quite hard.

please download this bin file

the latest one not totally working at all for e398.

after download,please extract to one folder,then upgrade your firmware.

after finish, it will reboot and try to disconnect your e398 and turn off a while...after that turn on, wait the all LED stable..after that try connect again your e398.

try to monitor your status at page 192.168.0.1

hope this can help u.

***it will take about 3 minutes to connect the net

any body know wat happen to me, i check at interface, there is 3g connecction, but there is not connection internet. i use openwrt because want use vpn. this hapen when i do Command for Openwrt TL-MR3420 Auto Ping google every second to prevent connection become idle.

help me how to reset pls.... at interface my vpn always 0000

Okay..after find out..i got the solution for V2 working with E398

Here File must be download first :

1) DOWNLOAD THIS FIRMWARE<<Latest firmware

2) BIN FILE<< bin file

3) TUTO FOR UPLOAD BIN << tuto for install bin

Step 1 :

Please go to TP LINK HERE 192.168.0.1
Login : admin
Pass : admin

Step 2 :

After successed login,navigate to SYSTEM TOOLS and choose FIRMWARE UPGRADE

Step 3 :

Choose the No 1 file(must be extract after download it) and click upgrade.
Wait until finish and router reboot first

Step 4 :

Right now,upload the bin file No 2.Please follow the step given in file No 3

Step 5 :

After finished please unplugged your modem.Then plug in back to the router.Wait a minute and taraaaa
