QUOTE(Mac Wai @ Jan 16 2013, 01:56 PM) either one works... just depends if you want component purity... if you are on shimano, stick to shimano, if you are on sram stick to sram.. unless you want ratios that shimano does not have and vice versa...if you are on campy... god bless.. you have little to no choice... there is also KCNC, and many other third party cassettes out there... QUOTE(butthead @ Jan 16 2013, 02:10 PM) zipp got backing from GH and also ngee cycle trading... which should be very strong... macwai, if ur fren wants enve, he should go to or call godzilla cycles. last time i had a chat with colin, he said he's bringing in enve. he even had the price list.enve, you've got to ask miao... but, the network should not be as extensive as zipp... |

QUOTE(mrjgx @ Jan 16 2013, 04:43 PM) Not bad..what do you think of the bike? I read a lot of good review about it and none are negative. Some said Cadel use this one instead of the Impec as the teammachine is much more comfort on the road. Impec is a technological showcase for BMC because of their overspent automated giant carbon loom weaving machine. It produces tubes without having the need for carbon cloth cutouts to be fitted to moulds in order to create the tubes they need. Their machine will just weave, braid and apply resin to the tubes radially to form important tubes of the bike. Then it is joined by mirror images of carbon shells that forms the lugs to connecting the individual tubes.I know i want an sl4 but this is Still a pro level frame nonetheless..and cheaper..hurm ![]() ![]() ![]() It was reportedly too stiff or something like that and wasn't very favored by the pro team... which is why it wasn't popular... That being said, it was actually a very well thought concept as it is possible to bring back mass produced custom made sizes for carbon frames for the first time in many many years. You can think of the TeamMachine as a RaceMachine with more compliancy built into it. RaceMachine has TCC (tuned compliance concept) applied on it's fork but TeamMachine has TCC both on it's fork and also on it's frame. Only problem i heard so far is a seatpost that constantly slips as the design differs from RaceMachine. Nothing to worry as it is only micro-slippage where after a couple of weeks of riding. You might need to raise it a few MM's. I can't tell you if it is good or bad as i have never really ridden one for a long time but only a short first impression and i am not for one to believe in first impressions. For that price. It didn't gave full sram red. I think it was the calipers wasn't Red or something like that. Still no cheap stuff there, they fitted Tektro's TRP R970. |

Hi guys,
I'm planning to start a new hobby now.....cycling. I still have my plain old rm300 mountain bike that i use to commute back in my university times.. and considering to buy a new, lighter one. I'm planning to use the bicycle for leisure cycling, and if gods willing, to commute to work.. from usj 17 to ara damansara....roughly around 14kms.. Been reading, the one that i should choose is either road bike, or hybrid bike... so, yeah... any opinion? my budget range is around 2k.. |
