i want go jump off from 14th floor lioa... have u decided how to do it?
banzai... li tat also need teaching meh...
0) open the lance armstrong ATOC interview with paul kimmage and listen to him telling you that you are not worth the chair you are sitting on... here...
1) lift your lazy azz up from the chair you are sitting on (shut down your computer if you are a good employee, go green mar) 2) walk to the nearest lift (loading lift is better, there is reasons for this) 3) press the arrow pointing up 4) wait for lift door to open 5) walk into lift when lift door opens 6) press the biggest number you can find, hope you passed your standard 1 math exam 7) squat yourself into the 100M sprint starting position in case you don't know wat the heck i am talking about 8) wait for lift door to open, time varies depending on how many floors you have to go up... be patient and treat it like those drag strip christmas tree.. 9) sprint like hell or michael johnson
~ at this point... keep running and only one of 2 things will happen
1) you find yourself running where there is no ground and suddenly you remember your primary school science class where the teacher is teaching you about gravity.. panic the shit out of yourself for 10 seconds and then you might see white light and stuff... maybe some pretty girls inviting you somemore...
2) you hit face first into some glass window because you got off the wrong floor when the lift door opened... at this point, you can punch the living lights out of the idiot who pressed the lift button stopping your lift on the wrong floor and continue to be the laughing stock of the entire building for a epically failed suicide attempt... or walk back to the lift and repeat from step 3
moral of story... take the stairs...

use 2 tubes of ky jelly, durex play (don't buy the heat or tingling ones...you don't want your tongue to be on fire or tinglish) or astroglide... blend some mango, orange, apple, pineapple, black/blue/green/purple berries and mix them together... last but not least... fold in 2 kilos of sugar and 1 kilo of salt for packing in more energy and replacing your lost sodiums...
freeze the shitz out of it... pour it into used gel packs and staple the shit up... and there you have your home made gel pack...

Day2: This morning I took a ride in Desa ParkCity.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
Route (Starting and Ending at DPC SimeDarby Hospital). The loop was not too bad, and I did 1 climb up ParkCity Heights. Covered about 21km+
At this point of ParkCity Heights, I'm only 1/3 up.
This is the landmark when you are almost at the top 2.5/3 up.
The view from the landmark.
The highest point that car can go is at the roundabout, but there is still road to go further up by foot/bikes. Here is the top.
I conquer. The climb was hard but satisfying
Now the problem... How do I go down hill. 12% degrees down + 10% degrees down
With my 16" wheel... going down is really really scary. Pressing brakes wont stop. Lucky there aren't any cars but many construction workers probably could see my freaked out face
When I reached home, I was checking the max speed for today and it was:
I think that is the speed I went down hill cause it was the fastest I felt. Almost suicidal...
Overall, I'm satisfied with this bike. But I feel the safe limit of this bike is about 30km/h. Going faster is possible, but the bike is somehow shaky and doesn't feel stable. Feels like flying out the bike (Then again, I'm still new to this. With more experience, probably I'll say otherwise next time )
dead slow... didn't noticed that before... where was that???
didn't noticed there was a gradient signboard as well... wonder what is that for anyways...at least my gradient sensor is correct...haha
you go climb the park city hill in the evenings lar...sometimes can see sunset there... and of course with a side serving of chicks bouncing around the parks...
if scared... ride slow slow lar... it's not a competition.. you don't get teh tarik for flying down at high speeds...

I'm not doing fast, but down hill how to slow? Press breaks also still moving. I didn't even paddle, it just roll down fast. No control at all. Next time I would probably have to push bike down
you sure your brakes are working properly.. you have v-brakes at the back which should have massive stopping power.. the front dual pivot might not be that powderful... but should still stop the bike...
you are not trying some super late braking rite...

Btw, I do runs at DPC too, running is nicer than cycling in terms of seeing bouncing things
while looking from afar.. you can watch without being caught watching mar... hahaha
tea is expensive... i don't understand it...same like wine...

There is a limit of what you should consume. Drink with moderate and it shouldn't be a problem
tell it to the girls... they think that it is miracle tea...

I have not compared with other brakes before, but this brake doesn't seem massive. Will get it checked the next time I go service the bike.
The seller said to use front brakes when emergency, so I've not pressed it so far when cycling.
When going down hill, I was pressing and letting go, pressing and letting it go to slow down. Is this the right technique?
Don't get caught, wear sunglass la... but I guess you already practicing it
usually... v-brakes paired with v-brake lever are damn powerful... if you pulled it full force without thinking twice on the front, you will flip and go over the handlebars... that is what happened to me more than 10 years back first time after installing v-brakes... but your front is a normal caliper.. so, no worries...
actually... why the front is better is because when braking... weight transfer happens and all the load goes from the rear to the front loading the front wheel up while it unloads the rear making it easier to lock up the rear wheel...
in some cases, it is dangerous... but i prefer to brake with the rear more than the front because i hate losing the front end compared to the rear end in case the wheel locks up due to sand on the ground or stuff like that...
you should balance the use of front and rear brakes in normal circumstances... be it 60-40, 40-60, 70-30 or 30-70 front-back is up to you...asalkan you stop in time..jus dun try superhero late braking and banking into corners like motogp riders and you'll be safe...
it's a personal thing.. how you control the brakes is up to you... whether you modulate or pulse it is no issue... either ways is correct as long as you get down safely... the only problem riding the brakes too much is accelerated rim wear...
sunglasses... that is so mainstream in miao's words... i spy from afar with binoculars..

this thread is too technical... are you sure your friends is watching the correct thread???
i only see a whole load of c0cking around lor... that can't be technical...it is not even logical...

just would like to seek your recommendation of places to cycle on tarmac, i'm a newbie who's looking for places to cycle along with my partner..
so far i've been to the following places to cycle, however i'm looking for more as i would to alternate the cycling trips, and also to get away from traffic, as my partner is not so confident cycling on roads with lots of cars
1. desa park city 2. bukit cahaya recreational park 3. FRIM 4. housing area around my neiboughood.
your inputs are very much welcome. tq tq
bukit kiara - problem is it is a steep uphill ride and very short.. genting sempah - a bit of cars but generally a quiet road, uphill also but not too steep... covering less than 2000 feet in 14KMs of road cyberjaya - they said quite quiet on the weekends... not sure bout this as i heard of it only... kepong metropolitan park? - this i am totally not sure... i just saw there is small lanes there which a bike might be able to travel on.
Merida 2013 Scultura Comp 903 vs Scott 2012 CR1 Comp
Similar specs, Merida slightly more expensive due to it being a 2013 bike and better package with bibs shorts, jerseys and everything but still higher than the 2012 package by a couple of hundred bucks.
I'm just wondering if u all would consider going for the Merida just because of this? And I understand that Merida has a Shimano R501 rims and Scott is using its factory aero rims, would that bump up the value?
Thanks
*basket I'm going from an alloy to a carbon :/
it's up to you really... if those jerseys are not what you want.. then it's meaningless from a value point of view...
the r501 is not expensive wheels anyhow when compared to the alexwheels on the scott... so, not really a big factor
at the end of the day... it comes down to 2 factors.. do you believe scott or merida makes a better frame at this price range as both is equipped equally the same more or less...
and also the factor of which shop you can connect with better.. 2nd point is quite important unless you want to buy the bike cut ties and go to some other shops for future services / maintenance and stuff...
didn't know they already took in the scultura series...
i saw the ride series and the paint scheme is quite interesting...
price also quite surprising...

is it putra or cyber??? i always get confused one over the other... i was thinking it should be cyber because that is where all the govt. offices are right? and they don't work on weekends meaning less traffic...
