you should make sure the GST is offset before cancelling the card.

It is.. Got RM300 cashback, only RM250 usable after deducted with GST. smile.gif

QUOTE(yhtan @ Dec 14 2012, 05:22 PM)
why feel bad? GST already offset against the RM300 cash back, use it and cancel it within one year period will do

Yes, OCBC Titanium.. nod.gif For the rewards. Which one is better?
Applying online or thru agent? This forumer, yns222, said he can help me send the application with GST waived.

Good to know that the GST has been taken care off.

I guess you must be the only person here in SCB thread that applied for the SCB card not because you are "greedy" and after the FREE Cash laugh.gif and best of all willing to throw away FREE Money notworthy.gif I guess the saying Easy Come Easy Go applies in your case, haha.

And by the way, just go apply online or walk into a OCBC Branch instead of relying on strangers and giving them your personal details. I can tell you, there are many con men here in LYN Forum and spammers too wink.gif

And I just published my article titled Standard Chartered Banks Credit Card Points Redemption Is Simply Ridiculous.

Yeah, after thinking for like 3 days, it will be very bad of me to use free money like that and cancel the card later. Easy come, easy go. wink.gif Even the CS operator was shocked by my choice this evening.

Conmen?
Ok, maybe will apply online. Any nearest branch of OCBC around Shah Alam, Setia Alam and Klang?

What the hell is going on at SCB. I just logon to the "rewards online" and found that the minimum denomination for vouchers I can redeem is minimum RM100. And requires 67,000 points. How many years will I have to wait before I can accumulate this points? Why not allow a lower denomination of vouchers??

I do think Maybank credit card is much more worth it, the point is evergreen and transferable to other account. And also normal RM100 voucher cost about 11-13k point only thumbup.gif

Not so cheap la bro! sweat.gif

Theoratically, 10k = RM50, so at least need 20k. wink.gif

anyone know where can I inquiry about my card application status?

the price solution agent called me about 2 weeks ago, and no more updates from them (even though 2-3 emails asking for updates to the email address ps-chan.yung-han@sc.com), no updates at all.. kind of no manner actually...

so where can i know about it? maybe another email address or number to call?
