How come so good one?

Dear All

I'm rather concerned that the SCB thread has been flooded with strong (with profanities) replies of late largely due to members dissatisfaction concerning their promo + the changes to their reward system.

I'm affected too (I do hold SCB cards) but I see no need for members to voice out their grouses in such unbecoming manner. I have in the past post warnings but the situation has not improved. Thus I'm contemplating closing this thread temporarily if the situation worsens, subject to what continue to transpire from now onwards. And the reopening of the thread will be an unspecified date in the future. If such come into effect, no opening of replacement threads discussing SCB products will be allowed nor considered.

I hope that I don't need to resort to this so I seek the full co-operation from all members to continue contributing positively and constructively in voicing their concerns, supports and unhappiness to all SCB's cc products.

i had apply this card 2 weeks ago through agent, but didn't receive any call frm SC.How am i gonna check if my application approve or reject?

Anyone knows when you get your cash rebate? initial RM 200 instantly after activation?

SCB put me in a different plan (rm55 cash + 15% petrol) when i was in (rm300 + 5% petrol)
they gave some silly story about system error and will take 1 week+ to balance the cash into my cc account. 2 weeks later and they told me another system error, and that will balance the money in my january statement which would be another 2 months time! wtf??
officer said the manager told her if you get your card in november, your cash rebate will get in december, and if december, in january...

SCB's announcement only mentioned that no cash back for Business Platinum & Business Gold. Cash back features of JustOne Titanium MasterCard (5% cash back on Fridays and 2% cash back on non-Fridays) was not highlighted in the announcement.

With respect to this, I was worried about the cash back from JustOne Titanium MasterCard. I sent an email to SCB and below is their reply:

"Regret to inform that the cash back features will be unavailable as of 2 January 2013 for all Standard Chartered credit cards. We will also be temporarily making unavailable 360° Reward Points on local and foreign currency spend for all Standard Chartered credit cards, meaning no points will be awarded for credit card spends until further notice."

This means ALL SCB cards including JustOne Titanium MasterCard are completely USELESS. I seriously think of cancelling the card before annual date coming May 2013.

Maybe New-to-Bank Cash back is a burden to their pockets... luckily I've "collected" sufficient Cash-back from new card applications

Did they told you they will renew their policy next year?

Yes could be partly because of this. Besides they always have the guaranteed gift for spending which I have won several times already. From iPad Mini which is the latest to iPod Shuffle, MacBook Pro, LCD TV and all the other stuffs. Could be due to this hurting them.

SCB has the worst card in the malaysia for genuine spenders...

What you guys normally redeem with your point? I see that each category there is only one page of selection, nothing interesting, and their rm100 cash voucher is 60++ k?

last time was about 12,000 points to RM100.00...

then became something like 14,000 points for RM100.00 voucher.

can cancel la.. just they will try their best to 'retain' u...

The officer told me must wait until after one year period only can cancel.,,....

Nowadays SCB is just a backup card. Used to be main card, got many freebies like cameras(2 of them), iPod, 25% cash back on food, rm50 to retain one of the card etc etc. Now..

Anyone under the Smart tag+RM55+15% petrol category got the 15% cash back? My statement shows that for my November spending they only gave me 5% cash back

PBB is the worst!
