Guys, Standard Chartered will be discontinuing:
- 0.5% Cash Back on all retail transactions (Business Plat & Business Gold)
- Free access to KLIA Plaza Premium Lounge (Business Plat & Plat)
- Complimentary travel insurance (all related cards)
- Complimentary Home/Motoring Assistance (Gold & Classic)
- Complimentary Purchase Protection Plan (all related cards)

Besides that, all purchases made from 2nd January 2013 onward will no longer earn you any Choice Point until further notice. A new rewards program is planned, by the way.

From the notice I received, it seems that the new revamped rewards program is expected to be unveiled some time in the 2nd quarter of 2013. Well, it better be good because they can't give all these free cash forever.

What the hell is going on at SCB. I just logon to the "rewards online" and found that the minimum denomination for vouchers I can redeem is minimum RM100. And requires 67,000 points. How many years will I have to wait before I can accumulate this points? Why not allow a lower denomination of vouchers??

My friend only know initially will get RM 150 after GST, then balance RM 100 will be credit to your account after 2 months.

Surprisingly another RM 100 has been given last month automatically. Can use it for petrol, The Ship, Sushi King etc. Damn syok

Maybe New-to-Bank Cash back is a burden to their pockets... luckily I've "collected" sufficient Cash-back from new card applications

SCB has the worst card in the malaysia for genuine spenders...

Can't say that's right. Cause I always use it 6 months downpayment for 0% interest.

SCB's latest Translucent card got their interest rate down to 8.88% p.a. But it has a monthly fee at RM8, that makes it RM96 p.a. Amazing, no cash back though

i just received my scb statement and the new balance and min payment due is rm49. Let said if next week i received that 250 supplementary cash back, do i still need to clear that month statement? or it can consider as paid after the cash back credit in.

if i cut the card now, is that possible for me to reaplly it after 1 year or i will be rejected also although i apply after 1 year?
