StandChart only process card activation on working day I think, I called up CS on Sat to activate my card, CS say can use within 24 hours. I tried to use it last night for petrol but couldn't, wasted 15% cash back.

This morning only receive SMS that card is activated

Yes, confirmed. I call to activate one of my card on a weekday and card was activated on within 15 minutes. Another card, I called and activate it on Saturday night but was only activated on Monday morning.

Well, at least they admitted their mistake. Thanks for the clarification!

As a loyal standard chartered business platinum user for the past 3 years, with at least RM15k spending each month (yes I pay a lot of utilities for my business), the recent actions by Standard Chartered have left me and others like me a very bitter taste in our mouth.

First they ridiculously inflated the rewards points since the start of this year, whereas it used to cost 12k reward points for RM50 cashback redemption, it now costs 20k points for RM50 cashback.

Secondly, now they start telling us that effective January 2013, we will stop earning points for every ringgit spent, and lose all cashback benefits and other insurance benefits that come along with the card. So that means starting next year, using the Standchart Business Platinum gives me ZERO benefits. Well, unless I'm using it cos I've maxed out all my other credit cards. LOL

Feel free to use other credit card bro.
For me I think no point to retain the card if I were u.

Cut my card with SCB yesterday after finding no point holding a card that brings no benefit.

Compare to Citibank, OCBC, Maybank, UOB. SCB have nothing

SCB is good in giving you free cash when u sign up for their credit card and the guarantee free gift campaign. That's it

They offered the 5% petrol cashback on new sign up for Business CC which I was mad because other banks are offering 5% on permanent basis.

From there I decided it is time to let go although they gave me very high limit.

Did they try to retain you?

Their CS is one of a kind super annoying!!! They force u to listen to a minute plus long ad b4 routing u to their services

I did the same thing like Yu-Gi-Oh for my business platinum due to the same reason early this month b4 the annual GST date. SCB called me up to retain me by giving me RM100(RM50 for GST + RM50 cash for retention) and auto waive for AF and ask me wait and review for up coming 2013 new card benefits. But of cause you have to hold the card for at least 6 months

Same here, 13.5 times of my current salary. >:D

If it weren't of my CL and COC facilities, I'd cancelled it few months ago.

Just to update that the extra RM50 rebate with livingsocial deal is nowhere to be seen yet

On how long the cards take to appear in our online account, SCB replied thus:

Please be informed that the new Business Platinum credit card xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx will appear on online banking once first transaction is captured.
