bicycle pass by also can hear? no such issue come on! hahahaha..the soundproof is pretty good, tyre roar is normal for low profile tyres...i have 0 regrets getting a forte..if i could choose again i'll buy forte in a heartbeat...forte has no rear wiper....bumpy ride because the suspension is stiff - meant for good cornering and stability rather than comfort! you have to understand the car you're going to buy or bought, why the car is that way and not complain why the car so bumpy, etc etc...for noisy dashboard, mine is good after 1 1/2 years, occasionally got the problem, but i dont have it that often to the point it annoys me. high FC - yes, this car's FC is higher than most other cars esp vios, but u must remember its a 1.3-1.4 tonne car and its C segment, the FC is comparable with other C segment cars...and if u like this car, forget about the FC..you will ruin the experience..else, get kancil/kelisa/viva/vios. End of story.

Haiz, i just happily book one recently, and my friend who are proud owner of City, Vios and Myvi give me the wtf u r so stupid look, and give me the above comment. And they went on and on how great City handles, how amazing FC vios can achieve, how better Myvi sound proof is better compare with forte. And they even comment about after the 5 years warranty, forte's engine is guarantee to break down ( as they stated korean manufacturer always offer all the great feature one can think of but minus the quality ). Now, i m starting to think i have make the right choice..sigh >.<

SOS please!!

Hi, it happened to my car a few months ago, i drove it to the sc & suddenly its gone, according to the manager it could be small stones or tars stuck in between the disc & brake pad that caused it. The sc did their checks & clean the brake pads/disc & didn't find any problems. After that no more sound appeared until today. I advice you to take the car to the sc for a proper checking B)

You gotta look at the overall package friend smile.gif Each manufacturer can brag about 1 thing. But as a whole, I feel Forte is smack right in the middle in terms of requirements. Cheap, good looking, handles well, performance good, acceptable FC, big cabin, simplistic interior design, huge boot space.

However, build quality somewhat below par for my car sweat.gif I just hate creaking and rattling!! - but you can play loud music as a workaround, but i prefer to hear my engine ROARRRRR tongue.gif

Don't blame KIA. Blame the local assembly for rattling sound. The dashboard has many small pieces and easier can have rattling sound problem. Ask naza lah....

Hi, just wondering anyone has regrets after getting forte? Come across quite a number of ppl complaining about Noisy Tires, Bumpy rides , High fuel consumption, noisy dashboard, noisy rear wiper, lousy sound proof where any bikes or bicycle pass by also able to hear, intermittent reverse camera.
*
Never regret. Think twice you pay how much for this car. All these are small matter. You have to ask naza. Yes, fuel consumption is slightly higher than Japan or German car. But remember you pay less 20k. That can make you save more money

Actually I still can't get over the creaking and rattling noises on the dashboard, left and right side of the car. Can't seem to trace where it is. Brought to SC, but every time mechanic drive, can't hear the sound  rclxub.gif Don't know can help by doing sound proofing to "fill" up the empty spaces help or not >.<

I've set in my colleague's elantra, and I must say, the built quality is top notch. But no paddle shifters, the design (I prefer aggressive looks of forte), the value, and the god damned waiting list of elantra, I still think Forte edges out a little bit smile.gif
*
I think thats the reason elantra user pay 90k ++ for tin kosong. I believe rattling noise started tafter they upgrade to DVD hu. I know mine noise is from hu.

Why listen to your friend? I fart sure I will say my fart smell good. Listen to forte owner. If you drive 100% in city, and over 2000km mileage, then you should worry about Fc.

I am impress if KIA can create a car that only start breakdown after 5yrs. Other car manufacture should learn from KIA then. Is that mean Toyota 3 yrs warranty means their quality will not long last after 3 yrs? Don't listen to their bullshit.

You pay b segment price but get c segment car. Only forte, inspira, preve has this price.

Don't know bout you but one of the reason why i've never look into City because of my colleagues. One who test drove city and say... it's not bad but slyphy better and one who actually bought it and come and tell me. If you gonna buy a car don't buy a City. I Fxxking regret. Expensive and doesn't have much feature and isn't spacious enough for his family.

That's why for my recent purchase before i choose forte, I've shortlisted only Almera, Preve, Forte, Inspira, & Polo Sedan... End up after meeting Mr.Edwin I've decided for the Forte. It looks the best among these car and It has the best power/weight ratio for a non-national car. If Elantra got superb rebate like what Edwin offered me and do not need to wait for x months then most probably I'll go for Elantra. hahaha. Also.. for 5 years i would have worry free. I dont want to drive my car for 3 years and after that due to unforeseen car dmgs I would spoil my 5 year saving + investment plan.

unless u go to find out and compare the spec btw forte with other cars, if not u will never know wat is the differences. at first when i decide to buy a new car i only think of vios, city or saga.

think of vios and city because like wat other said fc good, quality good, a lot of ppl use so spare part cheap, maintenance cheap, service cheap, if got probs oso can solve it easily coz many foreman. think of saga bcoz after go to see the real car of vios and city, i found out is actually a bit kosong for me...ya the quality of vios and city is good, but nothing much inside n the most important, kosong car cost more than 80k? that y i turn to saga, think of if wan me to use 80k to buy a kosong car then i rather buy a cheap n kosong car.

until one day when i was free then i go to see the forte n then find out a lot of spec inside this car so decide to choose it. for other ppl then don need the spec like wat push start, keyless, build in gps, rear view camera, auto air-cond etc, i actually no need too, but if u wan me to use 80k buy an empty car then i wont buy it, but if the car got a lot of spec i can consider it. tat y now i choose to buy forte.

now i choose to buy forte but family dont like, say quality not good, fc high, scare the electronic things rosak bla bla bla. but i still will buy it.

actually i wan to know why many ppl like to say korea car not good?

from what i know korean car owns the best high FC in its title. but other than that, its solid and comfort to drive compare to the other rival. my dad owns a kia sephia, and its 10 yrs old, so far not much issue, but wear & tare only....but still comfort and stable to drive compare to my old wira.... rclxms.gif

korea cars have bad history..FC is high (still high actually and recently got bad reports tarnishing their images even further - the MPG listed on their cars were incorrect..just do a google serach on hyundai and kia wrong mpg reported and you will find it..), poor quality, etc..but i think this round they are trying to change, when you see them hiring someone like peter schreyer, you know that they mean business. They want to shed that bad image off everyone's mind. I must say, they are doing a great job so far unlike Proton..proton is doing better than they used to, but not as good as Kia. Recently, Kia went into the top 50 brands for the first time - this shows that the Kia brand name is improving all the time, so I believe in them now.

Naza's involvement with Kia in Malaysia isn't helping either - they have been labelled as giving poor service and such, but these are all through word of mouth - personally, I have no issues with Naza's service centers, I've been to at least 3 of them and I can say so far they're ok, the ones that were once run by Mr Arul are the better ones. But in any case, its not as bad as people perceive it to be. SO until you actually try it, you won't know OR if you have a few friends who have visited Naza's service centers (and done a little read up on your own) - then only you'll know. If you hear it from someone that does not own a Naza vehicle saying bad things about them, you'd have to think twice before accepting their advice or taking their word about Naza too seriously.
