You can consider SAGA SE if you want. I ride on my mum's SAGA SE i love it! it handles nice. from 110km/h - 160km/h in a couple of secs and @ 160km/h is still stable on stock rims and tyre. really an awesome ride. Opps.. It's Forte here not SAGA. tongue.gif

Btw.. for the other Forte SX owners.. would it be really worth it to downgrade the rims to 16"? Wonder can look for stock 16" rims for it.

Bro 16" it's lighter and more comfy. My savvy last time 15" using profile 55 tyres.. The rim so easy bengkok and koyak.. Malaysia isn't a suitable place for low profile. If Kia would allow i might want to opt for 195/60/15 or 195/65/15 tyres.. the widest in 15" range.

Hi, do you know where i can find one piece of forte rim only? and how much does it cost? I saw online that other are selling used 17 inch but not forte. How can I know whether are they suitable?

I know very little about car, appreciate if any sifu can advise.

Last, I have owned forte for 2 years. I have cracked one rim and cracked 4 tyres. All tyres cracked on the side so cannot repair. Before that I drive Kembara and never has this problem. Is it that forte rim is too low, and I shall change to other type of rim?

Hi, just wondering anyone has regrets after getting forte? Come across quite a number of ppl complaining about Noisy Tires, Bumpy rides , High fuel consumption, noisy dashboard, noisy rear wiper, lousy sound proof where any bikes or bicycle pass by also able to hear, intermittent reverse camera.
*
tyre sound become a lot lesser after i changed my stock tyre to cheap continental.
fuel consumption i think it is good enough, if full highway full tank can achieve at least 600km. for city drive, heavy and slow traffic give me around 450km.
dashboard rattles and camera malfunction depends on luck? mine have no problem hmm.gif
also, if you have considered previous civic or current altis, they have the same dashboard cracking sound problem due to design and our temperature.
bike lalu those vroom vromm type can hear quite clear, it is damn irritating but i dont think other car cannot hear, if cannot hear then horn also cannot hear laugh.gif

problem i faced so far for a year car,
1) glokk glokk sound when driving slowly at 20km-30km, didnt check yet, seems common
2) steering wheel leather peel off, changed to new steering, no problem already

QUOTE(gigohlo @ Nov 13 2012, 10:41 AM)
Actually I still can't get over the creaking and rattling noises on the dashboard, left and right side of the car. Can't seem to trace where it is. Brought to SC, but every time mechanic drive, can't hear the sound  rclxub.gif Don't know can help by doing sound proofing to "fill" up the empty spaces help or not >.<

I've set in my colleague's elantra, and I must say, the built quality is top notch. But no paddle shifters, the design (I prefer aggressive looks of forte), the value, and the god damned waiting list of elantra, I still think Forte edges out a little bit smile.gif
*
bro, cracking sound you can stuck some foam into the plastic gap, at hu, clock panel, aircond vent.
anyway it just crack or a while due to temperature change.
hyundai car are better build, due the the price

As stated in the user's manual, Forte can use 16" & 15" rims also. For 16" rims, use 205/55 tires as recommended & for 15" rims, use 195/65 tires. But to find 16" & 15" rims with PCD 114.3 x 5 stud for Forte might be a tough job for u tongue.gif

Anyway, i've downgraded my rims to 16" also whistling.gif

Not Forte rims is too low..but the tire profile used is 215/45/17 which is a low profile tire (low profile tires usually give less protection to rims when u masuk lubang..lol)

Your spare rim & tire is still in good condition right? Just use your spare rim & tire..no need to find a single piece of Forte original rim. Just buy 1 piece of 2nd hand rim & tire to replace your spare rim & tire...

For the tire profile, is that the standard profile for Forte? Or can I change to another type of profile which give more protection? If yes, what will be the profile?

My spare rim is still good. I am now using the spare rim. For the 2nd hand backup rim, I can just buy any 17 inch rim or what is the specification?

Provided that u buy a lighter (lightweight) rims, u will get significantly comfy ride, better acceleration, better FC especially for town driving & not to mention the cheaper tire price than the 17" tire. Also i'm less fear if got hole on the road now..last time when use the stock 17" rims, in order to save my rims, i keep swaying left & right to avoid the holes on the road (which is a dangerous maneuver sometime).

But..there is always a but, by downgrading the rims & tires, u might sacrifice a bit on road grip & handling & also the overall styling (looks) of the car sweat.gif

Yupp..that's the recommended profile for the 17" rim. Increasing the tyre profile (while still using the 17" rims) will give an effect to the car's speedometer & odometer reading, might also alter with handling characteristic & the risk of the tire 'touching' the fender in some situation. The car might look weird also i believe... rolleyes.gif If u want to increase tire profile, downgrade to 16" is the way to go in which u can use 55 profile tire...

To replace the spare rims, buy any 17", 16" @ 15" rim with PCD 114.3 x 5 stud (holes) will do (of course with suitable tire profile)..it's meant for temporary use anyway.
