Noticed the painting tips by mycomnet, and thought to share the results of one of my experiments too.

Now, most of us should know what a pain it can be to get a nice white surface right? especially if the underlying surface isnt totally white. I guess spraying can do the trick, but I'm just one of those stubborn hand brush freaks lar smile.gif

Ok, the mix is:
- 1 part Citadel White
- 1 part Tamiya White
- one tiny drop of Citadel Dwarf Flesh or Bronze Flesh
- one tiny drop by Citadel Black
- dilute with some water before painting

Basically, what I'm doing is taking heavy paint (Citadel - mainly water based) and mixing it with light paint (Tamiya - mainly thinner based)

The tiny drop of dward flesh or bronze flesh and the black should darken the white mix by only a very very slight shade. The purpose of it is to increase the pigment strength of the mix, not to change the color.

Apply in very thin coats. U might find some brush marks after application, but if the mix ratio is right, the brush marks will smooth itself over before the paint dries on the plastic. Give about 2 or 3 coats, depending on the color of the actual plastic. For the GP-02's original cream colored plastic, it took 3 thin coats, and I get a nice smooth matt white finish after.

Does anyone has good pictures of a 1/100 Tall Geese 1?? I've found couple of TG3s, but personally I still think the TG1 is the best looking in GW. Old school and retro it may be, but beautiful...

Another way to cover the plastic color is by using the primer
it's a kind of liquid putty which can help to cover the original plastic color too

Oh i forgot about the old 1/100 F91...... u got a Zeta V2 i also got one and i also broke 2 pieces while removing them for painting. The most annoying part was the neck part where i broke the piece and have my Zeta heads shaking up and down everytime i move it around.

Same here my lower body white armor was stuck for the first time i put them on and it was so hard to removed them later.

For all those snap fit parts i used sand paper to sand them first, then i put them together, if it was too loose i just apply some putty on the particular "pin" and put then put them back on, it should stay nice and tight then.

Quite a nice kit overall, good choice u have made to choose this kit. One of the best MG out there.

^ erm... IMO no. For that price, you could get something better... a HG 1/144 is much lower in price, and brings more fun in assembling.

OMG... less than 20 bucks for a HGUC Rick Dias and Hizack? shit... please Jaya Jusco JB... please have a members day like this.

I think he colored it himself. The original kit does not come pre-colored like that (according to the pictures on Dalong.net.

Anyways...awesome work jdotl! d(o_o)b

Lost track oledi, i think around 24~26 hrs, start immediately when i received the kits from bro GodEvil. Inner frame is a bit troublesome, the armour is easy.

Inner frame detail is the best for PG, I almost don't want to finish the armour, cause it will cover all the inner frame beauty.

Yup, paint the hydraulic pumps gold, using gundam marker... cool.gif btw off topic a bit, how to do multiple quote ah? I use cut and paste, very troublesome.
