If you think of that way, then suit yourself. Others felt that this can increase their motivation more, same as I do. If you don't want to contribute, its fine but don't belittle other's effort.

My stats are

bench press - 125kg (275lbs) x 5 reps
squats - 160kg (352lbs) x 4 reps
deadlift - 200kg (440lbs) x 2 reps

so my total is 1067lbs. Yay! I'm in! smile.gif Bodyweight 83kg btw.

Congrats on being the first on the list! No prizes though. Heh. By the looks of it you should be able to max at 1100lbs if you did test your maxes on each lift. Looking forward to your actual max and I'll gladly update your total on the front page.

Will test max in about 4 weeks from now. Hopefully I can enter this group myself. Anyone else interested in testing too?

Dang. So close.

Squat - 315 lbs / around 142kg (belt only)

Bench Press - 235 lbs / around 106kg

Deadlift - 425 lbs / around 192kg (belt only, occasionally without it)

Total - 975 lbs

All done at bodyweight of 68kg / 150 lb.

Note: All of the numbers above are my one rep max. For deadlift, I use weightlifting chalk for better grip instead of using straps.

good job Iron_grizzly. only 25lb more to go.

how's everyone else doing these days?

was wondering if anyone would like to start a meetup to set verified PRs. think of it as a trial run powerlifting meet if you'd like? i'm back in sunny Malaysia now and wouldn't mind setting something up.

progressive overload /10

if you reached a plateau, perhaps do a week deload or a full week rest

if still no progress/ maybe can change routine

i not sure how much they take to reach 1000lbs total

but i lifted 1 year and only manage to reach

308lbs deadlift
231lbs squats
149lbs bench

lol barely even 700lbs total

squat and deadlift for a normal person of course is more than bench lol

Goodstuff guys.

Any suggestions for a suitable gym to meetup to set some PRs? I'm thinking gym rakyat in tmn maluri because almost nobody uses the cage and it only costs rm5 with a locker.

Let's throw some ideas around.

Guys, I did finally manage to break the 1000 lbs barrier. Wooooohoooooo!! rclxm9.gif

Here are my latest numbers for all the lifts

Squats - 170kg / roughly 374 lbs

Bench press - same ol' weight - 106kg / around 235 lbs

Deadlift - 200kg / around 440 lbs

Total - 1049 lbs

All done at bodyweight of 70 kg / 154 lbs

Note:

The numbers posted above are my one rep max for each lift.

Equipments used :

Deadlift - same thing, belt and chalk
Squats - Belt and knee sleeves
Bench - chalk, for better grip since I bench relatively wide
