friend, how many resumes have you submitted, there are alot of OnG companies. Some consider kucing kurap, still a good foundation for you to learn. My advise is, try to apply jobs other than OnG. Secure a job once opportunity comes. Sharpen your skill for a year or 2 then hop again. Chances is there, you just need to look further. Don't worry, OnG companies will invest in you should you have 0 experience. just don't quit.
Btw 6 months is a long period. Get a job, be it part time, at least make use of the time. They can't give you a stagnant result probably, you're under KIV.

QUOTE(hope_air @ Jan 30 2010, 06:03 PM) Hello everyone, I am currently a fresh grad and still unemployed even after 6 months of waiting since my convocation day July last year......... If I were you, I'll consider other options after 6 month. or atleast try to find job first, even though its not related so it shows that you are a productive person, not just goyang kaki depan pc. I got a friend who work in furniture factory first before joining ONG. Second lower, i dont know about now but I was 2nd lower too (having too much fun during uni year). Got an interview with service company, join them, than jump ship to oil company, after enough experiance, jump ship again to consultation. All you need to do is prepare yourself with basic knowledge in ONG (google is your best friend) during interview.

A very good advice ICDeadPeople...
I think you should try to find other job first even tough it's not related. At least you can gain some experience in the work field and to show you hardworking self.
And at the same time try to improve your other skill such as your communication and your basic knowledge.

Greetings
Have a Q here Is there any course or training about O&G that is beneficial/relevant to take right now, just so I can increase my chances of working in an offshore rig when i graduate??
I'm currently doing my internship in boiler plant, 3rd year mechanical engineering. Will graduate in 2012.
Thanx.
