If you got a house phone, then Streamyx. Or else, just mobile broadband with one of the 3G operators. Check on their websites for coverage.

Hi guys ^^

Anybody know what is the job scope of a HSE/Production Technical Assistant? I'm a fresh graduate with degree in chemical engineering and executive diploma in occupational safety and health. I just got a call that require me to go to an interview with PCPP tomorrow at KLCC. How much wage should I answer if they ask me this question?

Oil price now is USD79 per barrel rite? Damn nervous >.<

Hey guys, I need your opinions. I've been offered to work in Exxonmobil. But I haven't made up my mind about this. Should I take the offer? Is Exxonmobil a really good place to work in terms of the benefits and all, comparing to the other ONG companies. =)

Exxonmobile is a great company..most of the O&G companies share the same working environment. The most important part is getting into an O&G company..than you can jump ship among other O&G companies later. smile.gif

Not really. But to climb higher and get reputation, u have to go offshore regardless (whether it will involve dirty or not) or else u simply dont have the capability to continue on as petroleum engineer.

Yes. But is it really an offer or just part of stage interview? Anyway if u live in KL and they base u in KL then it's a good one. Or else they might transfer you...say terengganu (with benefits of course if u ask).

No, in fact most petroleum engineers will work as reservoir engineers where you will work in office and do reservoir (dynamic) modeling, very exciting job if you like to work with computers and modeling fluid flow through a computer modeling software.
Anyway if you do petroleum engineering you have a wider selection of upstream career to choose from.

*get your hands dirty will probably be your lab work especially if you do drilling engineering course where you will handle awful lot of drilling muds.

Tq for the replies. Well then, i guess taking chemical eng has a wider prospect than petrol eng isnt it? Since i prefer the office based jobs.

Cannot really tell u much since I dont work there, better u just wait till the offer letter and then ask question since different positions may offer different benefits. So far as I know big O&G companies like Exxon should be generous in terms of benefits.
