This is so true, start small, get offshore experience - most important. Most operator will not accept trainee on board offshore unless the service company send trainee FOC, free of charge, due to bed space constraint / chopper charge / meal etc. Once you got 2 yrs experience offshore, running the job yourself without any f*** up then the business will keep coming in. Sometimes a guy with 3 yrs experience working with you is way better than a new unknown guy with 15 yrs experience elsewhere
